[Solved] "Loading..." screen freeze-up
hey i'm nick and i got my black 4gb meizu m6 for christmas about a week ago. recently, i had plugged it in but took it out in the middle of the "loading......." screen. ever since, it has been stuck on that screen. i have tried resetting it, and only the one where you hold the enter button down works. the other resetting option, holding the power/play/pause and the >> or << for about fifteen seconds, does absolutely nothing, no matter how long i hold them down. is there anyone who can help me in this situation without, possibly, having to return it?

Are you saying that it works to shut it down, and when you turn it on again it gets stuck at "Loading..."?

The only thing I can think of is letting your battery run out and see what happens.

A final suggestion would be trying DFU Tools, but I'm not sure whether or not it will void your warranty. You have damaged the firmware and it seems your best bet is sending it back for repair.

Finally!! i tried the DFU thing like you said and it works perfectly again! the thing is, though, that when i held the power and ff buttons and plugged it in, the computer recognized it, but no windows popped up. so then i unplugged it, turned it on, and it didn't get stuck at the loading screen! thats all! it was very simple. just plug it in like that, and take it out without doing anything on the computer!

Hi, sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am having the same problem with my 4GB M6, I was charging the player and we had a power cut, now it is stuck on the load screen. Again only the regular reset works, which just brings up the same screen, neither the hard reset or memory cleanup work at all. However I cannot even get DFU tools to work, as the computer will not recognise the player when I plug it in.
Please tell me there's something I can do, I've only had the damn thing 1 bloody day and I really don't want to have to send it back already

remember to hold down the on/off/play and >> buttons, at the same time, while you plug the miniplayer in. after that you can let go of the buttons and wait about 15 seconds to take it out. turn it on, and it should be fine.

I bought a black 4gb miniplayer in december from miniplayer.info that came preloaded with the S1.010 firmware. Recently I had the miniplayer USB cord plugged when the player was turned off but the cord was pulled out before the loading sequence was complete. The player now cannot get past the Loading..... screen. It doesn't matter if I I hold down the play, ff, and power buttons - I can get the unit turn off and on but it won't go past the Loading.... sequence. It just freezes. I have tried holding various buttons when plugging in the cord but my computer will not detect the unit (windows xp).
I downloaded DFU tools but the computer doesn't detect a unit connected so I can't use it.
Does anyone have a fix and/or does anyone know how to contact miniplayer.info so I can get an RMA number to return the unit?
Thanks in advance for any help available.

DFU Tools doesn't magically recognize units connected to it. There is a combination of keys to press. I'm not sure of what the exact keys are, but have been mentioned at least three times prior to this.

I've been reading the forums and I'm aware of holding power/ff/enter while putting the cable in (which ergonomically isn't the easiest thing to do).....
and I don't mean to be rude but if you had read the rest of my message you would have noted that I had tried that already. On firmware S1.010 that doesn't seem to work.
Does anyone know how to actually contact miniplayer.info?

With the player turned off hold down the M button then the Power\Play button then connect the player to PC. Windows will detect the player as a DFU device and ask for the driver which should be included with the DFU Tool. The M and Power\Play must be held down throughout the whole recovery process. If you let them go the DFU Device will disconnect.

I did it finally. First you have to turn off the meizu by pressing enter 10 seconds (or more).
Next, press Menu and On/off.
Next, windows will ask for installing new dfu device, you must say that drivers are at the dfu folder, after that, open dfu tools (copy the firmware to the dfu folder first) and press download.
PD. Don´t stop pressing menu + on/off until you have finished the downloading process.
