I myself won't buy it (and I DO want it...badly!).
That sayed...if it ALSO has WiFi...then it's all the better

Wifi is only an extension of Broadband and can be installed by anyone.
Buy a an ADSL splitter and a router and off you go...

Now here is what MEIZU ... standard connectors (best USB type, as they are the most sturdy)[*]a software to connect the phone to your laptop via Bluetooth, equal to Nokia's suite, which communicates with my LOTUS organizer and exchanges information BOTH ways - phone>organizer and organizer<phone.[/list]

That was a well written post. I would like to elaborate. The Meizu will have Windows CE, so the software will be pretty good. It will have Wi-Fi, from the latest we've heard. It will supposedly be available in 16GB for $400, but I doubt it will have expandable memory because we have not heard anything about that. GPS is a maybe. It's not entirely clear.
I honestly think the Meizu will be unlocked, I don't see why it wouldn't be. Not sure about the handwriting part, that would be a very nice feature. I think it will have a mini USB port, that's what I've seen from the renderings. Again, you made a great post. It was full of good suggestions.

Hello,
Is the first specification updated with new newest information ?
Is there something like a dictionary for the technical things ?
I would like to know, if it is possible to write some notes with M8.
And is it possible to read word or openoffice documents ?
(sorry I do not have knowledge about iPhone or M6, everything is new)
Ti

One can't get everything, but I think that the M8 will have quite enough features on it to make it our favourite little one

RE: Most countries don't have (affordable) 3G ...
This is quite incorrect. Nearly ALL countries in Asia-Pacific and Europe have 3G.
All of the countries that I visit every month have 3G; Australia, New Zealand, most of China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, Indonesia, etc and when I travel to Europe, its Germany, England, France, Norway, Italy, etc etc... they all have 3G.
3G cell/mobile phone connections are FAR FAR more available than WiFi connections!! Do you honestly think there are WiFi connections along the autobahn in Germany?? NO there is NOT!

He meant affordable. 3G seems to be quite expensive for many people. I don't really care if M8 has 3G. It's going to be great if it does but if not, I'm not going to have problems falling asleep.

M8 doesn't have Wifi
It is mainly because WIFI phones are banned in China

I agree, 3G is far to expensive in France, I don't even have the contract for 3G.
I just wait o find a wifi spot and bingo.
Big citys in france are starting to offer free wifi in the street.
So for my share, I don't care about 3G but it definitevly has to be wifi

It has in hardware, but it is locked. They will probably release a firmware or hack which enables WiFi though, for the overseas customers.

I heard that upon release, the M8 will be able to teleport small objects, within a radius of 1000 miles. It will have a battery that charges it from the heat of your fingertips touching the screen. It will have a pinwheel accessory that comes with it that would fully charge when you blow on it for 2 seconds. This charge will last for 500 hours. This will be for people who use it in cold temperatures. It will project a full keyboard onto a flat surface for one to type, and it will project a display onto any flat surface, or onto a peice of paper that you fold in half to prop up (like a mountain fold). It will have an owner recognition system that will provide a shocking pulse and beeper alarm to anyone else who touches it. It will have a "mood ring" setting that will monitor your mood and respond with your own preset, fully modifyable skin display and music. It will also be preloaded with artificial intelligence and have emotions and speak to you.
Just kidding!
