8.13 A few more posts by JW
Today JW has made a few more posts on the chinese BBS.. these seem to be mainly about :
1. the M8 battery capacity,
2. M8 thickness,
3. something about the progress of the first batch of 20 test M8s.
Can someone please translate? --> original thread

So they will get the 20 test models on the 15th, correct? Which would probably be tomorrow for us in the US.

Actually, I don't know, this google translation is a bit tricky.. I think we should wait for someone to do a better translation..
Anyway, I'm under the impression that JW is saying they're on schedule. But that would mean that the units ship on the 25th, no? I think it was 1 full month for receiving applications, plus 10 days for announcement of the chosen 500 testers.. or did that change in the meantime?

e M8 battery cannot surpass 900MAH (the JW reply) Post the By:2008-8-13 12:53: 00
The following is quotes J.Wong on 2008-8-13 16:35: 00 speeches:
the m8 sign matches the battery is 1200mAH
M8 history announcement battery capacity change: 1500MAH→1400MAH→1200MAH→??? MAH
Waits for an opportunity the contrast:
diamond,900mah, CPU:528MHZ, RAM:192MB, the screen 2.8 inches, resolution 640*480, waits for an opportunity: A daytime
MeiZu M8,1200mah, CPU:800MHZ, RAM:256MB, the screen 3.5 inches, resolution 720*480, waits for an opportunity: One calculate
The premise is the MZ electricity consumes the control (including hardware circuit and software system optimization) achieves HTC the standard

The following is quotes J.Wong on 2008-8-13 16:50: 00 speeches:
Carries on first batch 20 to measure first that did not have the major problem to carry on the second batch again

The M8 thickness becomes 12.5mm by original 11.8mm. Increases 0.7mm.
If increases 0.7mm gives the battery completely, battery's limit thickness 4.2+.07=4.9mm.
4.9mm must remove 2 battery case 0.5-1mm, electricity core thickness only leaves behind 3.9-4.4mm.
Looks up the BYD electricity core model to obtain, satisfies this thickness scope many also on 900MAH.
If uses 1250MAH the electricity core, then the M8 thickness must thicken 14.5-15mm at least.
The PS:BYD electricity core is also not much, hard shell lithium ion, moreover the capacity density does not calculate high. Likes SONY A8H, I use now am this electricity core.
The following is quotes J.Wong the speech:
Moreover m8 thickness 11.8mm mainly gives credit in us uses the most advanced technical part as well as the massive chip conformity, big regular script aluminum alloy battery cover 0.7 Idle 0.3 The battery 4.2 shielding layer 0.3 part 1.6 circuit wafer 1 display monitor 2 touch the electric circuit and the lens 1.5 also uses a space of points to use for to make dustproof and the labor difference considers to use

Not the best translator. Human translator is FTCG+W (for the correct grammar and words).

I agree with sere83. There's no point in posting several translations by different translating tools, since none of those are very reliable... and by doing so, we get the post cluttered and without any additional information.
Some of our users understand Chinese and have been so kind as to make us a few translations in the past. IMO we should just wait for a proper human-made translation. Have patience
