WinCE & WinMobile

For first I'm sorry for my english.

I know WinCE is not WinMobile, they are two complete different OS and are not compatible.

The point is:
Why Meizu have choose to use WinCE in this fantastic smartphone?

- WinCe is very poor about thirth part software, it's very difficult find something it work with this OS, also a GPS Software.

- WinMobile have a great community, a lot of free software a lot of GPS Software compatible like TomTom or iGo.

I think if the M8 will sell only with WinCE at last I'll not buy it.

There is any possibility that Meizu will sell it also with WinMobile or the possibily to install WinMobile in the M8?

thank you so much!

Well

WinMO is based on WinCE.

WinCE is less specialized, and i find it much better than WinMO.

Also, there is a lot of software for WinCE, and most WinMO software can easily be modified to fit WinCE.

Nope... what I mean is that any of this OS WinCE or WinMobile have to be better than WM 2003.

But... sorry no idea what WinCE is? it's possible to mount other applications on it?

yes it's possibly, but the applications are not more, WinMobile have a lot more software.

It's possible ask to Meizu to do a version of WinMobile for meizu? and if it possible, how?

thank you so much!

I've also seen different sources claiming different things... but the "official" information from JW is that the M8 will use a modified version of Windows CE 6. In fact, to make it even more clear, there have even been some debates on the Chinese BBS with JW explaining the advantages of WinCE 6 over WM.

I think the sources that say WM are just doing clueless/poor journalism, and confusing people.
