Every one has been waiting 2 years and they anounce a possible abandon of the M8 I can't believe it.

i think if the qingdao show(in july) will be good for Meizu we will see the m8 in august in china, Meizu want to have a confirmation to people faith in this phone because maybe Meizu think that if a lot of fans and people are giving up the project, the m8 will not be a sucess so it possible that Meizu give up too.

Of course peoples' opinions affect Meizu's development.

Because most people would either buy an iphone or a cheap clone, nothing in between.

However it would be a pity for they to cancel the M8. I really, really, really want one. If they'll cancel it, i'll keep my Nokia 6234 and get another M6.

i think giving up m8 means banlrupcy for meizu so i don't think they will be giving up on m8. i think it's about the faulty translation it just doesn't make sense to me. give it up could mean release it.

it means the same thing, then we can translate "release it or not"...

I don't think he meant that they were thinking of giving up, I think he was answering a member asking him whether or not Meizu had given up on the M8.
