I hate to say it, but it seems like the M8 is encountering further delays. Most companies, particularly small ones, would jump all over a chance to secure a distribution contract in a high-income market like Western Europe. To that end, if Meizu were really keen on making the M8 a success, I'd imagine they'd have at least one working model to show the press and send to distributors. Judging by an earlier post, they're apparently 3 months away from release, so having a working model now should be feasible.

actualy it's southern europe, balkans to be precise. it's a good market also, eu members:slovenia, hungary, romania, bulgaria, greece and also other countries that aren't that bad like:croatia, montenegro and serbia. it a very good market, for example there are 7.5 million people in serbia and 8 million mobile subscribers.

Latest Speculation on the Iphone

Aboard the iPhone speculation bus
By LEVI SUMAGAYSAY
With Forbes claiming today that the iPhone could be a Nintendo DS killer, it's time to hop on the speculation bus headed for Monday's Apple Worldwide Developers Conference. Among other sure-to-be exciting developments, Apple is expected to launch the App Store for the beloved iPhone, which will let users download third-party apps, and of course, games. And iPod Touch users, Uncle Steve didn't forget about you. You get to play, too. What does the iPhone have that the DS doesn't? Well, the cachet of owning one, for one thing. Plus it's just a lot prettier. (See "Gaming the iPhone.") But it's probably way too soon to count the DS out. It has a lower price on its side -- $129.99 for the Nintendo DS Lite on Amazon.com vs. $399 and up for the iPhone at the Apple store. And the DS has owned the handheld gaming market. Back to the other sure-to-be exciting development speculation: The 3G iPhone, of course, a Mac OSX update, a .Mac facelift. And don't you feel like playing WWDC 2008 keynote bingo?

OK I Said I would try to not spark speculation but you have to admit this sounds interesting!

The iPhone is not a Nintendo DS killer. They're in two different markets. I would take gaming advice from Forbes with a grain of salt. The iPhone sucks for gaming for extended periods of time. It is not good for your health, and your fingers will hurt.

i like psp more than ds, but feelings aside the ds is great considering the hardware in it. iphone can't kill something that has 2500 games out already.

don't really care about serious gaming on a phone. if i were a serious gamer (i'm not), i would probably prefer to have a dedicated system like the DS or PSP, but the IPhone could be a good platform for casual gamers looking to kill time on a commute. Also, the latest news now is that the 3G Iphone is going to be subsidized by AT&T:

I'll wait till September, and MAYBE until December. If the M8 is not out by Jan 1, 2009, I'll pick up an Iphone if it'll be selling for ~USD200.

Tomorrow is "I" Day! Wonder what this thing will look like and what it has in store for buyers?????
No matter if you hate them or not this unit has brought about a lot of design modification and theories to a great number of companies. Love or hate them, innovation such as theirs does nothing but give us phone worshipers something to get happy about. We dream that maybe just maybe we will see the companies we use the most puts something in our hands that offers a little sliver of happiness.
Hopefully M8 will be one of those slivers and hopefully it will come soon. Until then I will be playing with my new "other" shimmering sliver come the 15th when released worldwide.

Nobody cares about "I" Day. Probably an announcement for more over priced products.
