Other iphone clones are already hitting the market. I'm not as excited about the M8 as I was....it's taking too long.

I don't think that people that are waiting to use an "iPhone clone" will appreciate Meizu M8 the most.

Now that we see the news/rumours of ATT wireless (in US) will subsidized the 3G iphone price to $199 (w/2 year contract), does M8 will be able to capture the market and will appeal to customers ?

The real question is are they going to sell it. In the UK (when they are in stock) you can stroll into an 02 shop or similar, give them some proof of having enough money to buy a contract, then they'll let you pay for and take an iPhone home. Once home, if you are sane, you will unlock it with a program, thus escaping the contract and giving you the freedom to choose your carrier.

Actually it is, just software-unlock it right away with a program. You'll have unlocked it and you can put any SIM in it.
