yeah I agree, march 08 seems a lot more likely. The problem is by that time I think there will be a number of better devices on the market than the m8. However the main 2 advantages the m8 has over all other devices that i don't see many companies implementing in cell phones before march 08 is free codec (xvid etc)/lossless audio format support (eg. flac) and more importantly USB OTG. USB OTG means esentially that you can have vastly increased storage capacity, from hard or flash drives. I don't think cell phones will have more than 16gb of memory by march 08, which still gives the m8 an advantage.

Even if the M8 will see the world on March 2008, who wants to buy a device which is far more complex as the M6 from such a trustless company?
* Never solved the firmware issues on M3 and M6
* Never responding to customers complains
* Never fullfilled the features they promised in selling spec.

Who want be such an idiot and believe in reviews?
I bought my M6 also because some reviews - never again!
In future I will take a good look at the critical voices in the forums.

M6 SP
8GB

Ultrabright: Yeah I totally agree with you! I find it astounding that the m6 and m3 glitches have been so widely publicised on both this and the chinese meizu forums and they still have not been solved. Also, considering J.wong actually posts in the meizu BBS himself, someone must have messaged him directly, surely?. It seems to me that they actually may not have the technical expertise to fix the glitches. However in saying that, the m8 will be built on a windows CE framework so with any luck the firmware will be built on a more stable base rather than from scratch as with the m3 and m6 firmware. In terms of reviews I think there are so many people writing reviews who do not have a clue about what they are talking about (and often do not do their research), particularly when it comes to the advanced features and technicalities of devices (which the more advanced user would be interested in). Once I get hold of an m8 believe me I will be going over it with a fine tooth comb when I review it.

Very true. The software is designed my Microsoft no Meizu. But didn't they obtain some sort of licensing that allows them to modify the OS features down to the last bit process?

i'd say if there were another touch-smartphone with 720x480 (or better) resolution with a close enough price and better branding, i'd buy it immediatly.

problem is there is none. even the iphone's screen is too small for native video's

Here's the current situation...

A prototype will be ready before end of year (2007) which they will bring to trade fairs CES and CeBIT.

However, the final product will probably not be made widely available until March - April 2008.

omg; and in March - April we will only get the non-3g-non-frontcam-8gb-version?

the rest will come even later - that's the whole point of having the 2.75G-version m8

That sucks terribly. Meizu company is taking far too long with this product. Don't announce a phone which you can't even release within the same year..
