Since everybody is discussing wether line-out is useful or not I thought I'd go off topic again and should share an experience:
On a little party I tried to connect my Meizu M6 to the AUX in the amplifier standing there.. but out came only whispers in the speakers (and yes I both volumes were maximized) then someone else connected his iPod and it worked perfectly.

I'm not sure about the 8GB version, but the 2GB M3 will be released on the 10th this month.

I fear it... reading the news in BBS MEIZU forum.
Even, I have read that M3 Music Card player will be produces only in 2Gb version, nothing about 4 or 8 Gb version! :/

Meizu goes crazy??? M3 8Gb is a future success, and not to produce it will be an error!

just 2gb for the M3..
I am sure they will bump that up top 8 soon.
The problem is however that the chinese price different between the 8GB m3 and 8GB m6 isn't that big if i am correct.
Maybe they are waiting for a better deal on the flash memory?

In your mind, when MEIZU will do the M3 8Gb? In march? In april?

Probably, they are waiting for better price about flash memory...
Flash memory prices are very low actually.

honestly I don't know
I just think they will eventually as a 2GB player in a market dominated by 4 and 8 gb players wont make much of an impact..

There's definitely somethign wrong there. Probably with the receivers 1/8" line in or with your 1/8" -> RCA adaptor. Such a low output on the receiver is definitely not a problem with your M6 if it works fine with your headphones. The M6's output isn't very weak, it drives my 600ohm AKG K240DF's to a reasonable volume level.

One actual distributor in the U.S. is Mohawk Mtg. They actual distribute out to retailers. Walgreens is simply a retailer for the product. There will also be various online store to purchase from.

I've received word that the U.S. release will indeed be at the end of March as Meizu is now prepping 8GB samples for CeBit. No specific pricing yet.

WorldWide yes, but they use smaller distributors in various countries that they are affiliated with or even own under different names, etc...

8GB? Do you speak about M3 (Music Card player)?

How does that matter? Firmware is upgradeable.

I suppose, as long as the extra memory doesn't cause an incompatability. A bit like the difference between the TP and the SP. Same player (essentially) a small component difference means 2 firmware versions are required.

I sure the firmaware automatically scans and detects what size of flash ram capacity it has, as all players 1GB, 2GB ,4GB and 8GB and larger GB all use same firmware.

All the girl at the front counter could say about the M3 was that it isn't out yet. 8gb next week WITH firmware v2. She said the 8 gb units they received last week, had to be returned. If this is the case, the player won't hit the water for another week. Then add 3 weeks for the boat and one more week before it hits their door and another few days for distribution to the retailers. My assumption would be a Mid-April release stateside.
