Dane-Elec Creates French Meizu Site

French company Dane-Elec, the official distributor for the Meizu Mini Player in parts of Central Europe and North America announced today the grand opening of their new website catering their French Mini Player customers.
The website features many niceties such as snazzy animations and a dedicated downloads section where you can download firmware, manuals and their Meizu theme song.
It can be reported that English, Dutch, Spanish and Italian versions of their site will be launched soon.

Out of the box, the Dane-Elec firmware supports Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish. The Meizu OEM version only supports English and Simplified/Traditional Chinese.
If you use the D-E firmware from the Dane Digital website the Euro firmware will disable the FM function and add the volume limits (35 max) to your player. D-E will not be posting the US version since it allows access to add the restricted functions and may violate certain EU laws and restrictions. If you want the US version that does keeps the FM and does not have volume limits, it can be downloaded from our website via the link on the left side of the hompage.
Also, the firmware is interchangeable. There is nothing in the documentation that says your warranty is void if you use Meizu OEM firmware on your D-E player. In fact, the documentation still says to download firmware upgrades from the Meizu website. D-E US knows this is still there, and as such they are by law required to accept warranty claims regardless of which firmware version is used. Laws may be different in European countries, but I doubt it since anything in writing is generally viewed as the legal agreement.
Until D-E has Meizu change this part of the manual, they cannot exclude Meizu OEM firmware from warranty claims.
