New Year, New Style - Meizu Me 2!

2009 has begun well for Meizu, with their flagship store launch and successful Meizu M8 testing period.

The style, simply dubbed Meizu Me 2, was originally designed around the Meizu M8. It has almost been a year in progress, and during this time the M8 has changed quite a bit. Hopefully, you can still find some resemblance and enjoy this new style.

For members who prefer the old style, one can find the option to switch to Meizu Me Classic in the User CP.

mh, the old one looked better imo. it was more homogenous and did fit together better. really liked the old header.

don't get me wrong, the black looks sexy, but the greyish theme of the forum etc. doesn't match that well.
+ the quick reply box is way too small :P

I agree on the reply box, it prevents members from easily writing wide, intelligent and strong posts.

After all MeizuMe contains quite a few of these more epic posts.

(on the other hand the header does say 'quick reply')

Congratulations on the complete overhaul Err0r! Looks a lot smoother. However, I did like the new posts at the top right of the page, and the white seems rather too contrasting to the black background. I also kind of liked the blue theme, it looked calming. Overall, it is definetely a change for the better, I also really like the smoother icons on the top.

Terrific. This looks so sleek! Imo, these layout colors are way better than the old ones. Awesome new icons. Everything matches so well now.

New icons are nice; black & grey is cool, but the white adds too much contrast. Overall, a bit too much going on for my taste. The advertising on the right margin throws off the formatting and adds a very unwelcome horizontal scroll bar on the bottom of the screen.

Classic for me.

i like it alot, but the quick reply box is a bit small. but, its better, looks more proffesional

I was pretty sure this would happen soon or later that this skin would be the new default. In fact I have already checked this skin out months ago and I can conclude this is a pretty boring and now most “less to do with M8” skin. I will actually prefer the less tasty skin head-fi are using over this and something tell me that the new BBS skin is pretty good. Okay please accept that this is only my personal experience.

Actually I like black skins for my audio players but that’s not the same on forums.
I am glad I can switch back to classic. I don’t own a M8.
So classic skin user here too. Please keep it!

If there going to be a new skin I would like an updated version or simply maybe go for a brighter skin. Just my thoughts.

This new style scales better to higher resolutions. However, there seems to be a problem displaying the 1024px width. With the emergence of netbooks, it's quite important to fix this. I'll look into it these coming days.

@ The Torminator - Yes, the next skin will definitely be brighter. Just need to find a good designer and start saving money. I still like the current skin as it gives me good readability (eg. news titles on homepage, high contrast between text and background).

The icons in the upper edge invite to discover meizume new again.

great new style! I actually really like it, great work Err0r! Love the icons on the top right too. The only thing I miss is the 'recent posts' box that used to be on the right hand side, I know it can be found bottom left now, but I found it a lot more convenient on the top right.

Looks good. Was a bit of a shock when I came to the site...I was expecting blue and got black. Thought I was in the wrong place....
