New Firmware A Week Early?

A new firmware for the public has been released for the Meizu M6 MiniPlayer; V2.000.1. This is not the same as the one sent to testers. The highly anticipated legendary version 2.000.1 introduces many new features:

1. Display of moving EQ.
2. Video broadcast up to three hours now supported.
3. Support for both MTP and MSC.
4. MP3 decoder optimized to save power. Battery time increase.
5. Album art.
6. Main interface modified.
7. Support for lossless WMA added.

It is not yet confirmed whether this is the final version.

I thought that was pretty clear in my previous post. If it wasn't: YES, I do NOT know whether this is a public beta or final.

No support for reading .jpg which is imbedded in the MP3 file as with iTunes and others. Know we have to deal with .jpg files in folders and so on. So my 30GB iTunes lib with albumart doesn't work. Wishlist on that one.

i have a problem with my meizu. updated it and changed mode. (to mtp maybe)
now, when i turn it on, there is nothing on the screen, and when i connect it to PC, i can upload music files only.
How can i change the mode back? plz help me
ps.: tried to reset it, but nothing happened

Looks like there are some bugs in this version... I think i'll wait until it's sure that I get the final release.

Is there any news about a 8gb version? cause i would be very interested to buy that one...

wow, this is so exciting! seems meizu really do pay attention to wishlists. at least, to some extent.

anyhow, i'm not adventurous enough to try this out on my own. i'll wait for the stable version before jumping into the bandwagon.

on both of my players this version gives major problems and the players wont work...

seems like this is a buggy beta to me

I got mine working fine . The Album art is fine, except the trick err0r discovered does not work on my TP player. I made a skin for mine to see if skins still work, and they do! And the Graphic EQ Is Schweet! I hope the final release gets all of the little quirks out of the firmware though.

ok this firmware isnt finished yet

I tried to install it 4 times, player got stuck 4 times, needed DFU toosl 4 times

I am back to 1.010 untill the stabile release of 2.0 comes out!

Album Art: I have just a few album art working. The most don't show up. I made 4 Arts for testing and they work. Then i made more album-arts for other albums anf they don't show up. Anyone having the same experience?

Moving EQ: When I tap three times the touchpad i don't get the moving equalizer, but only the progress time-bar of the current song playing. Am I missing something?

Video Bradcast: what do you mean with "video bradcast"? Is it just the video-play function? I never had problems in playing videos longer than 1 hour...

Did you do the album arts via Err0r's new way mentioned here or did you do one album art for one song each? Make sure the ID3 tags match the #ALBUM# and #ARTIST#. With the album art function, it seems only SP version works with Err0r's way, and both versions work with "one-album-art-for-one-song" function.

It works for me. Make sure you tap it exactly three times in the middle, whilst in NOW PLAYING mode. Tapping once gets you the seek function, twice gets you to the infomartions page, thrice gets you the visualisation.

Some people had problems playing videos longer the 1 hour. I personally had no problem, so this new function had no effect on me. My record is playing a 2.5 hour movie

By the way: Anyone notice the extended time in starting the player? As in, you have to press the "play" button for nearly twice as long to open the player? Interesting fact...

I tryed the Err0r's smart way. The first time I created some album arts just for testing, and they worked straight away. (i put them in a folder called "albums" without the capital first letter "A") After that I created more album arts which didn't work. But the first ones are still there and working.

I had it! I could not see the EQ because my underground-blending was set to 0. It seems that the blending for the animated EQ in inverted: the more you blend the better you can see it. If you blend to zero, the EQ disappears.

No differences for me in this. (I ugraded from FW T1.8000)
