Meizu Music Card M3 Release Date and Pricing

Meizu's next player, the Music Card is set to be released on March 1st, 2007. The final Music Card (M3) will be sized 39×81×7mm and feature a 1.5-inch 176x132 pixel TFT LCD screen. It will still support lossless formats and battery time is rated at 20 hours.

Generously priced at 499/599/850 CNY (equals to around 65/80/110 USD) for 2/4/8 GB respectively, the M3 is really out to cause some damage. 1 GB and smaller sizes are discontinued.

The 8GB M6 MiniPlayer will be released at the same time for 1099 CNY (around 140 USD) and the 4GB will be lowered to 850 CNY from the previous 999.

Note: The M3 will likely differ from the picture by being a little shorter but wider.

Sweetness! Just in time for my sisters birth day! She has been begging me to get her a M6, she didn't want to wait for the M3.

Interesting description. You quote the dimensions of the player body in metric, but the screen size in inches. Perhaps it plays music in sterio but shows graphics only in black and white.?

Interesting comment. Your argument sounded valid until I realized that all screens are measured in inches, a realization which took around 2 seconds. Perhaps I'll go listen to some "sterio" music now.? Thanks again for your valuable insight.

That's some great pricing. This could become a big seller for Meizu.

estimates

soooo pretty... if it was uber cheap in UK i might buy one, but i want m6 more and probs wudnt buy both unless it was an uber cheap ipod shuffle sized mp3 for wearing around my neck..
m6wise, damn there not being radio and more expensive in UK, maybe i will import from america.
i do hopes it arrives int he UK soon and cheaply. what is peopls estimate for this?

how good u reckon the controls will be? the buttons seem to be kinda odd to me

I was reading Meizu BBS and found a post of Mr J. Wong saying that M3 will be available only in 2GB for the launch, 4Gb and 8Gb have no release date yet.

Source (fifth page, for some reason it doesnt remember the page :s)

Kinda disappointing to me... must wait for 8Gb M3
