Update from Meizu regarding MTP and UMS

You can change MTP mode to USB mode as this: Settings → MTP mode, then press “enter?button to change to “USB mode? It is the same as that when you change USB mode to MTP mode.
So, above's the answer for all of those worried about drag and drop :D

good thing I was wrong with my concern! Looking forward to the new firmware now - increased battery life does sound promising! gapless playback and album art would be nice features as well... well, we'll see!

Count me in! DRM 10 means I can use subscription music services! I have been waiting for this since last September!

That kind of support gives Meizu the ability to sell the miniplayer in a more wide market, adding the microsoft-ruled customers. I think we should see more M6 customers then.

... I hope they've paid the rights to use DRM's technology lol.

... I hope that once they can rely on microsoft market aera, they will not abandon the multi-OS and multi-format support of their original player, chosing to economize the developpement of support of "secundary" market features requests.

That's what I feared.

Edit : as I'm reading the Meizu forum news, I have to say that I did not mean that meizu could let the UMS feature... It is just my reaction when I saw the improvement they notice at first with their new firmware. But I'm happy by Ice-Orange answer, showing that linux-users will still be listened

Yeah looks fine ! Despite it's hard-drive based, not flash... But it's a good project )

Perhaps Meizu had put open-source OS in M6 ? Had they published a thing about that ? Oups, I'm trolling ! This discussion had already been there.

And yes, I think they should open parts of their firmware source, it will be greater than to see a Rockbox turning on Meizu.

you cannot send your data here cuz we're not running this testing plan. Although firmware was sent out now and no one else can be tester anymore

No, we do have the firmware for about 2 weeks now. What i meant is that testers must send out a report to Meizu with all the bugs found during this two weeks.

Holiday will be over this sunday thats why i said that reports need be send by next week :D
