Yea and it will cost you your arm to buy one.
Apple is just out to make your money by purposely releasing a non 3g version and so on. That's always how apple play their game.

And there is nothing wrong about cloning and improving, that's how technology gets better (*hint* Open Source). Some of you probably didn't know japan used to be like china, a clone city, and by gaining that much knowledge they moved much faster than others. China will be the same in the future and they come in numbers!

Isn't there always people who copy and improve when they do their homework.
And they often score better, go figure.

That's a huge mainboard. Think they will be able to fit it in such a small pacage?

From what I could gather from their own words on that interview with engadget, they already had a working real-size prototype. But due to some problem with the new touch screens, which they couldn't get to work on time, they used a different one for CeBIT. Seems that this required changing some jumpers, which was only possible on the big motherboard. They also said that this was the reason for the bad touch response.

The one they had at CeBit was a dummy that displayed pictures.

Nope. It had the actual M8 hardware and was supposedly functional, however the touchscreen had to be chanced (you can see how they did that on the big mainboard), but this was not possible with the small prototype. Hence the slideshow.

Why is there a mouse pointer smack dab in the middle of the screen?

Yes I realized that. I meant they had no actual "working" prototype (One that is actually functional, and in the final product's dimensions). The display model that they had with the correct dimensions only displayed pictures of the menus, and was not done yet.

Just to clarify, I have a few quick questions:

-Will this product likely have a navigation/map/GPS function?
-Can you use it with iTunes?
    -What languages does it support

    Thanks

This is finally the perfect phone on the market, and it seems quite affordable considering the features it has.

i have no idea about navigation/map/GPS

i doubt that anything but ipods work with iTunes so the answer is no

The languages it supports should be Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and English

    - Navigation/Map/GPS:

GPS (as well as some other nice features) was mentioned a while back, but it will not be built-in. You will probably have to use a USB expansion module for it. Other than that, you can always use google maps through Opera.

    - iTunes:

Some people have reported that it's possible to synch the M6 with iTunes, so I would guess the same holds true for M8. I have to ask, though: "why would you want to do that?" :P

Okay thanks. Google maps sounds good!
    English=good!
    itunes sync possible=good!

Last question: would this most likely be fully out for sale and completed by May? A long time ago the rumor was that it would be completed 4th quarter 2007

No no. July/august at the earliest, and even that is doubtful, as the new CPu tehy are using, the 6410 I think, will not be mass produced til around august, so it might be even later!

i Think you'll be looking at the 4th Quarter 2008

As 'thestrangestick' said the Samsung CPU isnt gonna be ready until the end of the 3rd Quarter.

Personally, if i was Meizu id 'hang off' even longer and release it for the Christmas rush in November/December (ish) although im not sure if the Xmas market is as big in Asia as it is in the 'West'...

    ... I somehow doubt it.

    regards

He is saying that he is Chinese, and (I think) would like to know when the M8 will be released. The last two characters mean thank you.
