Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsA total copy of Ipod.. how can u use that touch pad anyway. THe round little button is not easy to press left or right . I wonder what will the chinese think. Defenitely M6 is the bomb now. The sales of this one won't make as much profit as M6. They should make something can play video smoothly with 3" wide screen .

Meizu is looking for constructive and realistic feedback for how you want to see this changed in terms of design.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

The bottom-left/right in my opinion is a real problem. I don't know the function of this knob but maybe it should be integrated in the other one (something like made in M6).
I have no problem that MusicCard looks like iPod Nano. MusicCard offers a better sound and you are free to use software you like. I would go for this item when the Li-ion battery could be replaced.
For foreign customers MEIZU should install better service.Last edited by PeterHamburg; 01-13-2007 at 01:47 PM.

Glad to learn meizu is looking for feedback and the design is subject to possible change.
I think the general consensus is that its
1) too Ipod like
2) doesnt utilize its body surface well
If they dont want to put bigger screen in it as the player is meant to be cheap, music aimed and video-free they could consider cutiing the unit in half and making the touch strip smaller
This would improvte the screen-body ratio, make the player less nano-like and will make the player so small it can compete by size of the unit.
Also the price still has to be very low because if its even remotely close to the already affordable M6 the M6 is, due to its bigger screen, small measurements and video option a more logical choice.
Maybe the M3 could be a sort of advanced Shuffle where the M6 is seen as an advanced Nano?
Meizu needs to find a unique sellng point for the M3
The M6's is the Ipod Video Sized Screen in a tiney, sleek design
The M3 doesnt seem to have any of these clear benefits yet.Last edited by Job; 01-13-2007 at 03:50 PM.

Shrinking size would reduce battery life dramatically. I would not buy a player with only 6h power.

not sure if thats true.. the shuffle can play 12 hours.
of course the shuffle doesnt have a screen
that doesnt mean there cant be a middle ground right?
smaller body, yet powerfull battery, small screen with energy effecient firmware..
If you see how small the battery is fro the M6 they can probably come up with a suitable battery for the M3 too
the way the M3 is now wont be very sucessfull I thinkLast edited by Job; 01-13-2007 at 04:20 PM.

It seems they have changed the player a little after the large amount of complains following the original prototype. The GUI for one is different, and also the back - is it now glossy plastic just like the front?
Whatever the case, I am sure the M3 will see even more changes before its release around March. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsfirst of all, there's a reason why it's called a MUSICcard and not VIDEOcard. in case i wasn't obvious, the thing ISN'T meant to have video in the first place, so no use complaining about it.
same for the screen size. since the planned use of the screen is to look at the track time, song title, artist name, album name and other track info, there's really no need to make the screen bigger, is there?
but i do agree about the crappy layout of the buttons and misuse of available space on the player.

i agee... we shouldnt expect an improved M6 but a simple player
however, its just too bad the buttons take up like 70% of the players body...
thats not very convernient
