But it is not important for me by the way I use WMA Lossless codec (with last firmware version 2.003.5).
I've tested APE implementation in Meizu, Teclast and Onda players and in all of them is implemented normal compression. I have had to convert them.

WMA lossless is implemented only in Meizu M6. Not in M3, Teclast or Onda players.

For an unknown reason WMA lossless is not working in my M3, as I stated here WMA lossless in Meizu M3? .

Can you give specifications of your WMA lossless file, it can be taken in WMP - File - Properties?
Or maybe post a short track of it?

Thanks in advance

Thumbs up

Wooo! No more end of song stutter! That was my main problem with it and it's gone now. (Update)...Never mind...end of song stutter was reduced, but not eliminated

First impressions -
Stutter greatly reduced, but still present
"Update Music Library" - still the same speed, and no longer happens for me whenever I charge, only when I change something on the meizu (add/remove videos, music, or photos).
I like the "large" font for selected entries, and couldn't care less about the "return" menu entry.

Meizu M3 Firmware 2.004

Due to the nature of the current 2.004 firmware, novice users are advised to not upgrade but wait for the final version.

Thanks iversonjack!

Good news:

Highlighted menu item. Very neat;
Faster boot time (at least for me).

Bad news:

Stutter at the end is alive. Tested with some of my albums, and now it happens randomly, sometimes for the same tracks. Just ripped a new live album I got (Pink Floyd's "Pulse"). I made sure all ripper settings were right -- see below. I tested it on my Cowon D2, my Zen V Plus and my Zen Vision:M with no problems whatsoever. On the M6, though, the problem is still there, yelling at me.

Settings (for Easy CD-DA Extractor: 320 kbits/s CBR, 44100 kHz sample rate, Joint Stereo, Highest Quality, no lowpass or highpass filters applied). As far as I know, this app is shareware and will work for a 30-day period. So, anyone interested in testing can download, make a ripping profile with these settings, rip a live album or DJ set (for example) and then test it on their M6.

Hi,

Tested version 2.004. I had a lot of reboots or sudden shutdowns with 2.003.2 (electrical
problems I believe). Much less now with version 2.004 (not sure why upgrading the
firmware has partially solved id though).

Impressions :
1) enlarging the font size of the selected item is IMHO just ugly and makes the lists (and menus) look crappy
2) Why adding a new item (Return) in each menu list ? It is much quicker to use the Return key (still IMHO of course).

Problem :
Some videos which were working fine with 2.003.2 do not even start now. On 13 episodes encoded with the exact same parameters, only 3 are now playing, the 10 remainings just go back to the list after 1/2 second.

FLAC and OGG still working OK. I don't need more, so that's fine.

Ok then we will tell Mr. Jack Wong to not add any other format because you don't need it :P

Of course not. The more formats are supported, the better it is. As long as they don't drop support for some codecs, as I said, I am fine (and even if they do :-)

I am just a little more worried about the 'apparently' regression on the video playing,
but, overall, I am quite happy with the M6.

I really apologize : I saved my videos before upgrading and some of them were not properly saved. All the videos which do not play have a 0 size.

So, until now, 2.004.1 looks as good as the 2.003 serie.

because people are saying that the menu button is easily broken, therefore to help reduce that they have added a return item in each menu item
