Meizu Mini Player SL Hands-On Video

Although the M6 Mini Player SL was supposed to be released several days ago, Meizu seem to have run into problems delaying the release. In the meantime, you can experience the new M6 SL through our exclusive hands-on video.

Do you have any idea how long the delay might be?

edit: Also, any word on audio quality?

I like how the menu selections magnify the words.

Contrary to Meizu's PR, it doesn't look like there is much, if any, improvement in the viewing angles to me.

and there has a notable increase at screen display, color and viewing angle.

How did you get your hands on an SL? OK review, not much things new except thinness, return function, slight change of button assignments, and hover effect in menu.

BTW: what are the button changes? i can see the play button is now the enter button. what's on the top and bottom?

There's a hold button on top, nothing on bottom.

Screen is slightly bigger, and the body is slightly shorter. Width remains the same.

SQ seemed better with the stock headphones. I won't be able to try other headphones for the next couple of days.

Back is now brushed aluminum, no longer a fingerprint magnet.

Overall, not the best upgrade for owners of M6. But for new people seeking to buy a Meizu, this should be the first choice.

I would love to hear any comments about the bass it produces. Is it the same/better/worse? The bass is what initially got me interested and the low price and sleekness are a big bonus i'm basically sold so long as the bass is still fantastic =)

As an owner of the regular M6 i have to say that the SL doesnt have anything i crave. Useless upgrade. They shouldve used the time and money they spent on enginnering that thing to hire new/more software-engineers instead, and give us what we really need, better software for the damn thing. Ignorant and Stupid.

But it's thinner and smaller than a M6 and has a brushed metal back, I would choose it over a regular M6. Also, don't forget the better sound.

Error: Can you please confirm if this is the case? Are the viewing angles still quite poor?

I think just watching the video pretty clearly confirms this, even taking into account the poor lighting conditions.

Bad showcase + Bad video

Taken that this is from meizu.com, this is a very good example of a bad showcase of a product. Bad lighting+ no directional in the video. Doesnt show off any + points on the player. Just a hand playing around with the menus and stuff ..

Hmmm

Did you film it in a closet with the lights out?

The main difference is size and the video shows this just fine.

Also, this is meizume.com, not meizu.com. It is a fan site.
