It was said to be released in March , which is two weeks away.

oh yeah of course it says on the first page! I havn't checked this thread for so long, I presumed it would be in around 2012 like mbarry was saying! Would love to be pleasently suprised, I doubt we will be though somehow.......

This news is 5 months old, I think the presumed release date right now has moved forward with the same amount :D
I have little faith of seeing this in Q2 as we have seen just about nothing from it except that 5month-old-render.
Same story with the m8, exciting the people before actually building the product.

I recently email Meizu and this is what I received and there are several others that have received the same reply:

I really like the "Pls keep attention on our progress" I have not seen or heard of any progress. I have heard of delays and what not for the release and what the phone actually will feature.

Mr. Wong if you read this can you reply to it and give us some sort of hope that this item is not going to die as a concept.

I really want this phone to happen but it seams so fare away from actually happening.

unless the m7 comes out tomorrow, march has come and gone and no m7

It's pretty but I need pretty tactile mp3 players, I'm in a lot of situations where I can't look at it to change songs or volume etc. Looks fun to play with though xD

Does "to be launched by the third quarter of this year" mean that it should be launched BEFORE July, or during this period (July to september) ??

It means it is planned to be released turing that quarter.

I really like to see it release then, but I doubt it since we havent seen a final prototype or a video of it...

Means that in September will be available for buy it in the stores or...

will be another announcement for a postponement.

m7 in spetember? haha don't be silly. I thought the M7 had been put on hold until after the M8 was released.

exactly! so if the M8 will not be released for a long while, there is absolutely no chance we will see the m7 before it! In fact anyone actually believing we will see any device form Meizu any time soon is dreaming!
