Meizu Contest: Win a Miniplayer or MusicCard!
Meizu is starting a contest for those who has design skills or just good ideas.

As all of you know, there's no official picture of the whole Meizu MusicCard body yet, so Meizu is giving you the opportunity to design it as well as the list of specifications you think it will have. The entries are to be sent to karen@meizu.com, and finally all entries will be published on their website allowing the public to vote for their favorite designs.
Prizes are as shown:
- Three (3) winners will choose between 2 GB miniPlayer or 2 GB MusicCard.
- Each winner will get its player engraved with his/her name on the back
Deadlines:
Submit ideas - From Dec 15th, 2006 to Feb 10th, 2007
Choose the winners - From Feb 16th, 2007 to Mar 16th,2007
Please do not post your ideas in here to avoid copies and ripoffs

Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Simplicity would be a good ally for everyone on this contestLast edited by marcelo1251; 12-18-2006 at 05:41 PM.

Sure, we're gonna be looking at it!
Yeah, in fact no one can post own ideas here (will be removed according to Meizu rules!). The reason why I posted that one, is because i posted it somewhere else (don't remember where) so i just want to show it as a "dead" idea (not for the contest) but with some sort of imagination though.Last edited by marcelo1251; 12-28-2006 at 05:38 AM.

UPDATE
Ok guys, i spoke with Karen a couple of minutes ago, and she's pretty happy because she got several entries for the contest... Hopefully some of them from MeizuMe members
An important thing is that Meizu is asking to participants to define player's functionality (no video playback though), and such feedback and ideas will be taken in count for future firmware upgrades for new players, starting with the M3
Reading the thread you can find several "new members" asking for better prizes. As Karen stated, this is just a contest, Meizu will not take your ideas to design a new player, because obviously they already have the MusicCard design. In fact, this contest is just part of their advertisement for the M3.
Sometimes is kinda stupid and funny at the same time because you can find people asking for better prizes or their names on the user manual, webpage, and case of the new player
but, as you know this becomes in a very annoying situation

the player on it should be the actual size in real life.Last edited by marcelo1251; 01-07-2007 at 11:14 PM. Reason: Please read the thread carefully, no original ideas here, Meizu's rules.

@ Err0r: your entry looks very nice! well designed too, but about the locaion of the "M" button, people might press l<< and >>l at the same time when they go for the M button. Still, great entry!

Too bad people can see that it's me who did it. I didn't think about it when submitting and they're on vacation now. Sigh.

Yesterday I was the first voting for B because it was the most "realistic" design ... now it looks like you will win
