Meizu Introduces Special Holiday Prices in China

Just in time for the holidays, Meizu have announced further price cuts on their M6 miniPlayers. On the 15th December, the prices for 2 and 4 GB players have dropped to 699 and 999 RMB respectively. The original prices for the new, cheaper SP players were 899 and 1299 and the prices for the TP players were 1050 and 1599. The new price equals around $90 for the 2 GB version and roughly $130 for the 4 GB.
This price cut is said to stem from the fact that Meizu sales have gone so well and were beyond expectations. Meizu can now buy in larger quantities. Flash and screen manufacturers are said to have given a 20% discount to Meizu starting January 2007. Hopefully, this means that the MusicCard will be around 20% cheaper than originally expected too.
Talk about competitive pricing. Most likely, we won’t be seeing this kind of pricing outside China anytime soon.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsNot really. They might, but they are still one of the few online retailers selling M6's outside of China. And no I don't see Dane-Elec lowering their prices so soon after their rebranded m6 is released. Who are they competing with that they need to lower their prices? Unless a huge amount of lower priced M6's appear on ebay or another retailer pops up, they're gonna try to make as much money as possible, like any retailer would.
I'm not sure why you're on such a crusade to get lower prices, do you not have one yet?
