How did I found out about my M6?

I came across this wonderful gadget during my stay in Guangzhou / China (9.2006 - 2.2007) where I was attending some lectures at the Sun Yet-sen University. On a daily basis I went to these store in the campus where they sold all sorts of electronics and one day the brochure advertising Meizu caught my eye... At that time I was considering whether I should get myself an Ipod Nano or simply go for the big version. Meizu seemed a decent product so I gave it a try; asked the clerk to switch it on and ... love at first sight ... the player was awesome! In the following week I got myself a 4G version and so did my colleagues. No need to emphasize how much envy there was when we got back from China...:D.

I have never ever heard of any such brand called "Meizu". One of my friends is a technology guru, and I was keen on buying a new MP3/MP4 music player. My friend told me a few players that are quite good (including M6 and clix), and referred me to a website (Engadget). Since all my friends already have the new iRiver clix, I then chose to buy the m6 just to be different. It turned out to be the smartest move I ever did, and that is how I came to know Meizu. Oh and also, whilst I was in China (this was after I got my M6), then I knew Meizu was such a successful company - due to the advertisements and sales in China.

I wanted to find out more about my music player, so after I bought the Meizu, I quickly jumped on Google and searched for "Meizu M6". And sure enough, one of many sites popped up which happened to be Meizu Me, and that is how I got to know Meizu Me. It was out of pure research that I reached Meizu Me, and I am glad this forum existed and is still on the rise.

a)/me found out about meizu from a Mass Order (MO) that was going on in a local forum, but decided not to go for it since the built & quality was pretty relatively unknown to me.

There was also a mass influx of china made mp4 players that were made available locally which made me meizu a pretty risky proposition to go for.

But my opinion of the product changed after i read some reviews pertaining to the M6 on anythingbutipod,en.meizu.com & many other sites which suggested that it was worth the plunge, especially with the priceerformance ratio looking great.

    b) meizume was linked from a local forum while i was browsing though the threads about meizu.

    a) I found out about meizu while searching for a nice-but-not-too-expensive mp3 player. I looked on the web and saw the mp3generation (a french website) classment of the best 2006 devices. The first being the Meizu M6. I then looked on ebay and now here I am with my nice M6!

b)The meizume website link was in a userbar of a member of a forum where I often go.

Thumbs up How I found Meizu

A Since the time, i've first saw mp3 player with video I was thrilled, the next day my mp3 player was sold, and i began a Great search for a compact, reliable, stylish, preety sounding gadget. In the market I compared Ipod video and Ritmix (don't really remember the model). But then I saw an unknown shinig little gadget and immidately have fallen in love with it, it was my 2gb Meizu M6 miniplayer!

B After half a year I'm using it I want to say "GUYS YOU'RE GREAT" every line of it is perfect. The sound is great. The firm is really solid! They thought everything even cleaning cloth! I was amazed. The display of a player is close to perfect. No any broken pixel for 6 month. Hope your M8 will SMASH DOWN Iphone, I'm with you!

    b) I asked to my friend about the M6 player, if he was satisfied with buying it, and he told me about Meizu Me.

    a. Found out about meizu on Generationmp3.com (see this post), quite a long time ago now (april 06 ^^). I bought my meizu as soon as I could, in July 2006 on eBay and have never stopped using it since then.

    b. Simply gathered any existing info about meizu on Google and naturally found meizume

    Hi to all !

    a) it's a funny story : i would like to search (on Google) informations about "Leizu" (a Chinese empress) and i made a mistake writing "Meizu" ! Then i discovered the brand and its products and i really appreciated M6 features.

    b) When i knew i will have this great M6, i searched for forums about Meizu (without mistake this time !) and MeizuMe came to me !

On the subject of Leizu, according to tradition, she discovered silk and invented the silk loom in the 28th century BC !

    a) I love the mp3 players, before i had the Mpio FL100, a great mp3,light stilish and pure music quality, but today is too old and have some limits.
I read everyday some Italian blog with google reader and a day one blog write about Meizu and Teclast. In the blog the author says about the perfect quality and the low cost of Meizu..
therefore i go in search of Meizu

    b) search after search, blog after blog i landed on MeizuMe, the only site about Meizu Player in English with a Forum. i'm sure that i arrive here with a link on a blog, but i don't remeber if was from Generationmp3 or others, but was from a Blog!

    good bye

I've been to BuyNow in Beijing before, long ago when I first came to China and my wife decided she wanted a laptop. Fortunately, we had assistance, as I can't speak any Chinese.
But I hadn't before searched for an MP3 player, partially because I dreaded doing so. You walk into BuyNow and it's "MP3! MP4! Hello, sir, you want?" repeated ad nauseum.
I checked 8 different MP3 and MP4 vendors. My wife wanted a new toy too because her previous MP3 player went the wayside. The choice, for me, was pretty easy, considering the price / functionality ratio of the Meizu. She bought a Philips, which has a teeny tiny screen hardly worth looking at; it will likely remain unused as a MP4 player.
Since I purchased it, the Meizu has done very well for me. I've even recommended that other people buy it--my mom, when she visited, bought 4 and my in-laws bought two!
I found Meizu Me through Google, as far as I remember. For a while I thought it was officially associated with Meizu, but then learned that it wasn't.

A - In my ongoing journey to be totally free of proprietary hardware and software, I had been looking for a DAP that would enhance my unfettered technological lifestyle - so, the M6 was a no-brainer after viewing a few online articles and the dapreview M6 demo on YouTube.

B - Google search for eBay + Meizu helped me stumble-upon a community of like-minded Meizu lovers, former "big box" techno-slaves, and an all-around cool bunch - greetz!

    a) I had recently gotten my old Sansa e260 stolen, so I was keeping my eyes peeled for good deals in the $100 range. On gizmodo the 4G M6 was advertized for $99 at walgreens. I reasearched more on gizmodo and it sounded way better than I expected to find at $100. (after a bad time with walgreens, though, i ended up ordering from JTC for $30 more, which i do not regret)

    b) I was greatly anticipating my Meizu's arrival, so I was checking out the provided link that gizmodo gave, (the meizu.info one, I think) and at the bottom of the page it said "are you a fan of the Meizu? click here!" and it directed you to the Meizume site.

    A) I was looking for a MP3 player to use while I go running/walking (more walking than running for this old man). Was considering using my wife's Creative Zen Micro that I got her for Christmas severeal years ago. She hardly uses the damn thing, being "technologically challenged". But it's a hard drive type, not a flash, and a little bigger/heavier than I wanted. I'm not a "follow the crowd" kinda guy, so I didn't want to follow the Apple flock. So I did my usual amount of over-researching on the net, and ran across the Meizu I forget where.

    B) During my intensive research, I came across a link to this site, which was a deciding factor in my decision to purchase the M6 4gig that I carry around with me now. Now I have a bad podcast habit. Still trying to catch up on all the "Coverville" podcasts, up to number 112. I use my wife's Creative Zen Zencast program to download and find podcasts.

    a) My cousin receive as a gift an Ipod Nano, I tested it and I realize that I wanted a machine with touch surface control of 4 gb at least. but made in China. I just don't like Apple copyright politics, so I go to my favorite site www.mympxplayer.com and I look for the best brands of China, i found Meizu the best qualified. So I decide to but a Meizu machine.
    b) I Google Meizu in my country, Chile, and I found a small company offering Meizu Music Card M3... so I fast go and I bought one for me of 4 gb. I have to say that is the best buy I have done. I have several other DAPs but Meizu is the best for me.

You have until Sunday to PM me shipping details. I think no reply from you shows a lack of interest, and since this prize is so rare, I'd rather give it to a more avid fan (redraw). But then again, you could be out of town or just haven't seen this yet - therefore I think Sunday is a reasonable timeframe.
