I'm guessing " The main chip model is dissimilar (slightly makes optimization in present host chip foundation in view of audio frequency)"

Means that the main chip inside will be replaced/modified and will result in an increase perhaps of the quality of the sound.

"Chinese Meizu fans have been speculating about the M6 SE, predicting that the SE will use the same firmware as vanilla M6, that the current 700mAh battery will be swapped for a smaller 500mAh battery and that internal wirings will need reworking."

That's all the information for now.

mmm, looks cool, but too thin for my taste. Making it thinner could cause a fragile feeling.

Although, i would like to have one too :D

    rumor ?

Hello I just saw that on generationmp3.com :

    http://www.generationmp3.com/index.p...du-m6-et-du-m3

It say the new M6 Se will have a resolution of 720x480 @ 30fps and an output fot the TV. It seems to be very strange for a player with 7mm instead of 10. And a 2'4 screen with 720x480.................. X_x

I think all M6 will be same firmware, TP / SP & SE , this will be the last version of M6, I am sure they will be designing new M6 replacement to compete with clix2 and Cowan D2. They really need to get video working at 30 fps and more formats supported, if M7 or miniplayer2 could play .FLV files from you-tube (30 fps) it would be a real winner, no encoding needed. Would also probably fix the sync issue too.

According to Meizou officials disclosed that its miniplayer M6se upgrading forthcoming listing, produce the products can be as miniplayer version of the ultra-thin, nearly 7mm thickness. M6se function of the functions and miniplayer is no difference, the thickness of 3mm thin. This information also alleges that M6se main launch 8GB version, priced at 999 yuan. Meizu miniplayer mainframe modeling Korean design, appearance is very compact, only 48.2 × 79 × 10 mm, the weight of 55g. Meizu miniplayer adopted a resolution for the 2.4-inch 320 × 240 pixel 260,000 color TFT screen, the screen fine. Meizu miniplayer the dominant chip technology is based on ARM9 Samsung dominated, frequency up to 200MHz frequency, the video decoder can provide excellent support. Miniplayer in functional and is a representative of today's MP3 of the highest standard, MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, FLAC, WMA lossless XviD, and other video and audio broadcast, recording, FM radio, photo browser, games and so on. Life time of 36 hours. So far, this year's New Meizu plan has been fully exposed, Music card, M6se and M8, This product has three components of the initial high school Meizu bottom product line structure. Meizu M6 now is the frequency of 200MHz Samsung ARM chips, Meizu M6se (miniplayer II) is the frequency of 533MHz CPU, believe that the video will be better supported, and will function more and more fluid operation. Meizu M6se (miniplayer II), is the latest we know Meizu launched products. M8 was previously thought miniplayer II, it seems Meizu M8 will be updated products, Given the complex nature of M8 should be 07 hours later introduced. Of course Meizu also constantly improve the product's performance, the recent news has been published abroad. Meizu will 7mm thickness M6se upgraded version introduced products (that is, ultra-thin version), Compared original thickness of 3mm thin, ahead of only 0.5mm thick nano, the screen remained 2.4 inches, None 8GB capacity version of 999 yuan, but less than half of nano more. As rumors speculated that the M6 thin success is mainly due to a shrinking of the battery, from the original 700 mAh 500mAh dropped, but switch to the visual perspective of a relatively large screen, Some software does not seem to change. But this is only some rumors, we need to further confirm Meizu. Allegedly M6se version will be listed in August, is looking forward, but we expect M8 early and meet us.

I hope that it isn't better in performance than the normal M6, because then we can forget performance approvements on the old M6 and less support. I just ordered a normal M6, i hope that the new one is only smaller and not better. Does someone has some more information?

They have to improve there players, if not, who'll buy it ?? Some other mark are in competition, and better is the player better it will have some chance to have success. I don't think it will have more success now just for a smaller size and the same performance.

I understand what you say MoL, but, the M6 is already at his limit in performance. I don't see the point, if they just reduce the thickness of the player for the same performance...

    I hope he'll be better.

Is it getting released in August in China or also in America too? I'm really eager to buy a M6 and I would definately buy one right now.. But since I found out that there is going to be a SE version, I'm just gonna have to wait..

I guess I wouldnt mind getting the SE version overseas, but I'd rather buy an exported version that might make be feel more comfortable.. or does it not matter? =P

Im really happy that I found the M6. I had an old little Yepp player that finally died on me and I'm glad that it was worth searching all over the net to find the perfect player for me. And I think the M6 was the one that might be best for me. :] Only if all the firmware bugs that i hear gets fixed, it would be the ultimate mp3 player for me... But that doesnt matter for now since they can be fixable through updates :D

Anyone think that there might be any possible delays on the release, because I really want one NOW :$
Those two months are gonna be an eternity for me
