Announcement: Err0r has joined the Meizu team!

Yes, you read that correctly and it's not even the 1st of April. Carl (Err0r) the founder of Meizu Me has recently started his new job at Meizu.
You can read his announcement right here: Big announcement
Of course this doesn't mean Meizu Me will no longer be administrated as from now on I'll be running the site. We'll keep you updated on the latest Meizu news as usual.

What's more, we even have some surprises in store for you in the near future! Stay tuned!

    Congratulations Err0r!

    Congratulations to Error/Carl

Honesly itīs nice to see that things are getting on ( it wouldīve been a pity if Meizu would stay China-only ).
But I hope we now get a few more/more accurate information on new Meizu products!

Thatīs good, because, as you might have noticed, the "updates" (read: not firmware updates) about MX and M9 have been very sparse in recent times and I guess Iīm not the only one feeling a little "left behind" by Meizu if you know what I mean

Maybe we should start a "Carl's Suggestion Box" type thread.....

Open boot-loaders for us early international adopters, we can then be free ambassadors for the MZ brand worldwide.....

Congrats Err0r. Long time Meizu user here, and in-part due to the efforts of Err0r and yes, nice2know_u also!

    Thanks to both of you!

As a side note: I live only a few km's from a Meizu store!

It's a joke, right? Because we have many ways for buying meizu-phones.

Seriously guys, I don't see something cool in this announcement.
Of course, we congrats Err0r with his entrance into the meizu-team!
    But...
What this mean for us, really international users, not only English-speaking?
Maybe Carl knows the features of our national keyboards, layouts and encodings (Russian, Lithuanian, Greek, etc.)?
Maybe Carl knows the features of our national 3G-networks (Belgian, Polish, Ukrainian, etc.)?
    I'm afraid not...

And I hope that in MX we finally see a really support of most world languages in UI, multi-national keyboard layouts (not only English and Chinese), support a maximum number of encoding in ID3-tags (and not only unicode and ASCII), international keyboard in phone book, international search scrolling, international support for 3G-networks, and many more International...
And this is very serious work. For this work Meizu should have at least one employee from each European country (unless, of course, under the international version MX Meizu does not imply translation only in English).

Meizu has been focusing on the MX, and have done a pretty good job with secrecy. No need to feel left behind, as the product will be launched very soon.

You are right, but as good as it sounds to have offices in every major European city, Meizu needs to approach internationalization gradually.

Don't worry, the MX will be much better than the M8. Jack posted in the BBS a while back that both the M9 and MX are getting ICS.

Carl/Err0r, congrats man! You deserve it! With you helping meizu get international, I have no doubt that this is going to be a success! Meizu called the right one. With meizume you already gave meizu a good start, cause people from all over the world reading and posting in here.

If I would be JW I would let you sign a special contract that you will never leak any pictures or info without JW permission in this forum.
Cause now you work for meizu, you have access to everything they develop.

Do you have to move, or can you work from where you live at the moment? By the way, where do you live?

    -------
    @ Adam/nice2know_u,
I don't know if I should congratulate or pity you, because it is very much work to do I guess! Nevertheless you are the one I wished for who is holding the strings now here.

    You are right too, Carl
Only one thing: MX must be something interesting for potential European buyers

ICS - this is not enough for success in Europe (or America, as Wong wants to).
MX should be better in many specs than smartphones from "monsters", like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, etc.
This should be in design ergonomic, in sound quality, in camera, in bugs-free firmware, in long battery life, in low price, etc.

Example - Xiaomi MiOne. Companies, which decided to enter the market, was forced to beat in many ways: they presented a powerful processor, powerful battery, low price and to the same - a completely open system. And their tactics were successful - 300 000 pre-orders (this is very much for beginner on market).

And what MX? If Meizu wants real success in Europe (in the world), it shall offer something better.
Otherwise it will remain a phone for geeks (although with a closed operating system it's very difficult ).
