Example - Xiaomi MiOne. Companies, which decided to enter the market, was forced to beat in many ways: they presented a powerful processor, powerful battery, low price and to the same - a completely open system. Meizu will try and do all those things while keeping price reasonable. I don't think the company will ever go the low-price route.

I think it's great that Xiaomi exists, as it shows the world that there are more good products from Chinese brands. Their price is great, but they can't deliver products. When they finally reach full production capacity, the parts will have become cheaper, hence making the 1999 price less competitive. Also, their 300 000 preorders are blown out of proportion. Anyone could have preordered with just 1 click online. No deposit needed, and I think one IP could preorder unlimited times. It was a great launch tactic, but a little unethical IMO.
