Engadget visits the Meizu headquarters

Richard Lai from Engadget got to visit the Meizu HQ (that houses both their factory and office) and has written a nice feature detailing the trip. For those interested in how it actually looks like over at Meizu, here's your chance. Oh, and there's a video tour too!
Visit: Exclusive: A day trip to Meizu's factory - Thanks Coninsan! Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 200 Times in 145 PostsWow, what a surprisingly nice and positive article! (compared to other engadget articles)
I was realy impressed about the size of the complex and that there are living quarters too. Also how open the fectory seemed to the visitors.
Hooray to Meizu!
Better payment then Foxconn, lower prices then Apple, better customer care then most.Meizu M8 SE - FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A11 Android 2.2

That was an amazing article. By "amazing", I mean that I'm surprised that Engadget just did a complete overhaul of their opinion on Meizu. They went from "KIRF" to respectable Chinese company that sets an example for others, according to Engadget. Also, the combination of their enormous factory, the fact that they hire people from their forum (only those who are Meiyou), the working conditions they have for their workers, the fact that they even more than Foxconn and even offer their workers practically free food and transportation and a room just makes me respect Meizu and J. Wong even more. Honestly, this was surprising! lol I wanna work at that Meizu factory.

Good to see Engadget isn't biased against chinese companies.

Thanked 19 Times in 13 PostsIt is indeed a very nice factory (and lunch buffet :P), but China have a long way to go when it comes to wages.

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsVery interesting article. Meizu has quite a lot of workers, I'd have estimated they employ about half of the current staff. Still, nice to see that Meizu cares a great deal about their workers! One more reason to buy Meizu and not Apple.
Let's just hope, Meizu's idea of favoring forum members for new jobs is not limited to the Meizu BBS...

Thanked 14 Times in 10 PostsPity that they didn't get to meet Jack Wong. It must be for most who read it, according to the article, 'an eye opening experience'. I also love the fact that they are quick to point out tht Foxconn is an extreme example of employee treatment, and Meizu isn't like the invention of sliced bread or something.
