Can you also port to the Desire HD? As for now, there's no firmware image for MX released by Meizu yet. I'm really looking forward to your project, because the same project with Meizu M9 ROM was never completed. I will link you to a ROM dump when it becomes available.

nebkat, do you think you can make the MX-CN version rootable with this method? or has that nothing to do with rooting?

To port to MX-CN he will have to be able to repack the firmware files into bin or else there's no way to flash the firmware

thanks for clearing! But maybe he is able...
I wonder why the HK Version is rootable because in HK like in EU there are more copyright regulations... Here in Germany CN has the fame to be 'copy-land' but HK is more difficult. Guess we were wrong...

Yeah might be a lot ppl in Germany think so, i guess because they small brained.
Most stuff is produced in China either for big companys or in OEM so companys just brand the items.
Of course there is a lot cheap or crappy stuff too.
A lot fakes only exist because ppl are brand damaged or because ppl buy it for cheap and want to sell it expensive and say its the real deal.
Unfortunly most of thease ppl are not from china.

Take alone thouse E-cigaretes if you had bought em 1 year ago you would have made millions from them buying em for 8$ in china and sell em for 60€ in Germany.

    Erm, yes thats it... :D ... -.-

Anyway, its not because people are "small brained", but rather because this stereotype is promoted by the local media who try to denounce (non-brand) Chinese products.
But honestly, everyone knows that most "real brand" stuff is produced in China nowadays, but for everything that is not made by "real brands" there are rightly safety concers,...

true true, we all know that mostly everything with electricity in it comes from China. And there is not just electronics, there are bicycles, toys, you name it.
But that's obvious, when a normal chinese maschine engineer gets ~4000RMB/635USD/500/EURO per month you know why almost every big firm produces in China. And we talk about engineers here. The pay for normal workers is much more lower. Just for comparison, a german maschine engineer in germany gets about ~24000RMB/3800USD/3000EURO or even more. The multiplication factor is 6, think about it. So what would be your choice where to bulid your products?

    hey nebcat
how far you in porting the Meizu FW to other phones?
Would it be possible to use an android phone which got no physical home button? Or is the programming for a physical or touch button completely the same. So soes Android care about the button disign in one way?
How would cope the MX firmware with no buttons to rotate. We know the MX got turning iluminated buttons. If you port the MX FW to other phones, will the firmware produce malfuction or does it just ingnor the fact that there are no buttons to rotate?
