    yes & yes.
On the PC side, API15 SDK and device drivers from SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse (the one provided by MZ for M9 might work, dunno).
Nexus S and S1m0n3 like this.

same here, i rooted my Meizu MX 4-Core HK with Flyme 1.0. But now i have "little" problem, have change anything on root directory and i'm on Boot loop, please can you backup the rom and send to me? this is very appreciate, because i've heard that flyme 1.0.1 is more instable that flyme 1.0 and isn't rootable for now. Can you make this favour for me? :-)

Ok, so what exactly is going on? Can we root the HK version MX with Flyme 1.0.1 ROM? Does it only work on 4-core or does it work on dual-core as well? If you guys could put together a little how-to I could verify it on the old dual-core too.

    I rooted:

    Meizu 4-Core HK
    Android: 4.0.3
    FlymeOS: 1.0

    Here is how to:

    On the Phone:
    Enable USB DEBUGGING!
    Enable Mass Storage

    On The PC:
Download Android SDK and install API Level 15
Download SuperuserOneClick for ADB-drivers to the Phone
    Download TPSPARKYROOT
    http://www.mediafire.com/?pfle9gml2rp8962

(or just use google on it, any find is right)

Now on the PC, open CMD, navigate to android-sdk\platform tools and enter "adb devices" - it should give you a line of letters and numbers back, starting with MX........

    Should look something like this:

then, extract tsparkyroot.rar and start tsparkyroot.bat with administrative privileges. Follow the commands on the screen (basically its just tapping a button every time the phone rebootet successfully).

    And thats it

I tried to. No way so far. Other roms wont work, as there is a locked bootloader i guess

    Arrow

Step 0 (Phone) Go to Settings > Accessibility > Developer Options. Enable USB debugging.
Step 00 (Phone) Go to Settings > Storage. Disable USB Mass Storage.
Step 1 (PC) Install Android SDK and reboot/logoff.
Once logged back in, open a command prompt and type (validating with Enter/mit Enter Taste)
    Code:
    adb version
    Should output
    HTML Code:
    M:\Gmarket> adb version
    Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.29
    Step 2 (PC) Download SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip
    Extract it wherever you wish.
Step 3 (PC) Plug your device through USB and Open Windows Device Manager(Gerńte-Manager)
You should see a device called M032 with a yellow exclamation mark
Right-click on the item and select driver update (Treiber aktualisieren)

A dialog window should pop up, elect to browse for driver on computer (Auf dem Computer Treibersoftware suchen). Select the "drivers" sub-folder where you extracted earlier (z.B: C:\EXTRACT\SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse\Drivers) and click "Next"

The Device should now be listed under "Android Phone":

    "Android Composite ADB Interface"

In a command prompt, your phone should be visible
    HTML Code:
    M:\Gmarket>adb devices
    List of devices attached
    MX21............... device
    Step 4 (PC) Download http://www.t-kstore.com/4.0root.rar

Extract the files into a folder and navigate with command prompt to this folder. (Start Menu > type "cmd /k cd /d M:\Gmarket\TPSparkyRoot")
From there, you may execute the .bat. I suggest you press Ctrl+C and type commands manually after it says something about the id being 0 / root. Make sure su etc. work correctly before putting things in /system/bin or /system/xbin.
Example with /data/local.prop still present & asdsuming you "adb push"ed su to /system/usr/my-su
    adb remount

    # chmod 4755 /system/usr/my-su
    # su shell
    $ /system/usr/my-su -v
    should return 3.1
    $ /system/usr/my-su
should give you a root shell (#)

then you repeat to place it in /system/bin/su and then install supersu or superuser apk.

^-- I'm not too sure about the su steps, tread carefully because bootloader is locked....

No. Not every wife is the same like any other

Meizu MX has a locked bootloader as far as i know. S3 doesnt have that. So, no Recovery, no Roms!
