*This will probably not work on a China mainland version MX*
Here's how to permanent root the Meizu MX Hong Kong version with full system read and write. It will also install Busybox and Superuser. Read the steps carefully. If you don't know what root is, you probably don't need it. I'm not responsible for any damages to your device!
This will enable you:
1. Fully modify graphics, fonts, and other system files.
2. Full use of Titanium Backup.
3. Remove pre-installed applications e.g. Gmail or Google Maps.
4. Other changes on system basis.
Have you read the text above carefully? Let's get started:
1. Go to "Settings" --> "Applications" --> "Development" and enable "USB debugging" and "Unknown Resources".
2. Connect your MX to your PC, do not enable USB-storage.
3. Download the attached archive and extract it.
4. Right-click on the "runme.bat" file and select "Run as administrator".
5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
6. If everything is OK, your MX will reboot and is permanently rooted.Current Phone: HTC Desire HD

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsHi,
I rooted my MX yesterday, because I want install droidwall. Everything was fine till I started the firewall rules.....the MX Kernel was compilet without the Netfilter module.
So Any Ideas to fix this?
Regards

You could try LBE privacy guard instead, this works fine on the M9.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks, I'm going to check LBE.
I also see, that iptables work on the MX in version 1.3, but Droidwall works with IPTables Version 1.4

There is a newer version of LBE, that doesn't show up on the market, and this will not run on the M9 (at least I don't think it does - no English interface yet), I guess this is down to the same reason. At the moment it seems that the MX and M9 are both using the same kernel (GRJ90). Still, the market version of LBE works very well, and has an English UI
, so I'm happy.
