Meizu MX prototype photos leaked

The world's worst photographer strikes again - this time with photos of the much anticipated flagship device of Meizu, namely the MX. It was a few days ago these photos were posted on the company's official forums and topics containing them got quickly removed by the moderators. What does all this mean? You tell us!

In a recent comment JW confirmed the MX is still on track for a December release despite its last minute camera swap, so we should see some official announcement in the coming month or so.

UPDATE: Two more photos has been leaked of the device, this time we can see the front in more detail which seems to have a very small home button made of metal and two touch buttons that can rotate along with the screen. The latter detail lines up perfectly with a previously published design patent by Meizu describing the behaviour of the touch buttons in detail.

Why do they always make so crap quality fotos if it takes the same time making a normal one? haha

I don't hope that this is the final design either. I hate the black front and white back. Why not make a fully black one and offering a white cover for it. And then producing a fully white version too. There are so many customers out there who use a white iphone4 or a fully white Galaxy S2. I saw it many times. So why not producing a glass with white foil on it. It is same asy as black. A creapy white back cover, come on meizu that is not your style. You past this chapter with the M8.
I guess 1.1.12 will be realease date. Nothing earlier!
And I think complaining about the crappy pictures JW or any other meizu official leakes is useless. They will never learn. Or what I think, they do it on purpose! But I don't see any good reason for it.

Agreed, I think the shiny cover makes it look cheap and plasticy - matte or metalic is the way to go IMHO

looks like it is a mono speaker. If it has such a bad sound quality and level as the htc or samsung phones I will most likely quit on the MX. I use the speaker of my M9 almost every day for phone calls in the car. Same with the M8 last year.

anyone knows what is on top of the phone? Looks like a card slot next to the power button. Not that the back cover isn't removeable anymore and we have a integrated battery. Why make the card slot accessable from the outside, when you have a removeable backcover? So I guess/hope it's something else?!

And what is the samll thing right next to the head phone jack on the top? The microphone is right next to the micro USB port...

Because it has a white back?... Seriously, how else would you design a phone that has to be
-of bar shape
-should better have a "rounded" back due to comfort-reasons
-has a camera on the back

I think its differentiated enough from the 3gs... Although that scratch-attracting white back might become an annoyance =/

I think it's the SIM card slot next to the power button. Or even the memory card slot. The smaller hole could be a secondary noise cancelling microphone.

It's all on purpose, even those things on the official forums. Teaser.

I don't like the white back cover either. It looks to be made from exactly the same material as the M8's back cover which was easy to scratch and was a real fingerprint magnet. I hope it won't be like that. Also I would prefer it all white, or all black.

I don't think that this is the final design. Like you can see on the meizu site, the mx will have a small speaker above the screen. But the rest looks quiet the same.
