Well the Meizu M9 did rip off the original Galaxy S and iPhone, so it's not exactly surprising. :P

Not really, it's thinner, has an OLED screen, has a stable OS, and will probably get rooted/unlocked really quickly. It'll also be available sooner, rather than later.

I wouldn't say that Galaxy S have a very "stable" OS

It's always interesting to get your hands on something still being developed

It's also £230 more expensive, weighing in at £599.99. MX will cost a 'mere' £330.

looks nice, but like mentioned very expensive. The MX will be rootable soon after it's out to.
Who likes the Samsung more, go get it. I will check it out at the local media store. But I guess the loud speakers will be crap like the SGS.

According to whom? The M9 is buggy and has no root access, why would the MX be different?

You can get the Galaxy S 2 on O2 Pay As You Go here in the UK for only £400. Price will almost certainly go up but that is very reasonable.

It's been universally praised as one of the best android phones ever and even one of the best smartphones produced to date.

I think we have to be realistic, Meizu aren't quite at the stage yet where they are getting universal appraisal for their products from almost all the most influential tech sites around. Samsung have really raised the bar with the Galaxy S 2.

    ^ this.

I had high hopes for Meizu; I bit the bullet and bought the M9. Meizu are far from a quality brand, it's all fanboy delusion at this stage.

Apart from having the worlds most boring lockscreen...

The Samsung Galaxy S II has definitely set the template for all smart phones for the next year or so. 8MP back camera, dual core... This is all gossiped about the iPhone and Meizu MX, but they are not even out yet! Samsung ahead of the game.

    Coldplay secret Meizu fan?

LG P990 is the first dual core smart phone, 8MP camera.... its even better than the galaxy s II.
i think there was just one template for mobile/smart phones, it was the first iphone.

The LG P990 is no way as well implemented as the Galaxy S II. All the reviews I've read point to a a sluggish UI & buggy software.

LG Optimus 2X review -- Engadget

The Galaxy S II is in a completely different league.

Samsung Galaxy S II review -- Engadget

Not saying Engadget is the be all and end all but their reviews are pretty thorough and other reviews I've read have said similar things.

And I'd hardly call the Galaxy S firmware unstable either. It's by no means perfect, bit of lag here and there and the well documented GPS issues, not the best battery but from all the reviews I've read the Galaxy S II is far better implemented than it's predecessor.

I'm sure it will be less laggy and have better battery performance than most HTC phones and while touch Wiz is not perfect it's got a lot better.

They are going to conquer the world by making HUGE phones, SGS 3 could be around 7' , and SGS 10 will be 100' , with possibility to fold it Say bye bye to sms writing with single hand
