Official Meizu M9 firmware update brings Roboto font, various fixes and improvements

A new official firmware for the Meizu M9 has been released yesterday. The biggest change is the new system font, Roboto straight from Android 4.0 which renders very nice on the M9's high DPI screen. If you update from V2.0.2-6883 (the previous official firmware) you'll find quite a few improvements, such as a much smoother Launcher and lock screen, Android 2.3.5, fixed GPS signal, a new version of Android Market (3.3.11) and various bug fixes.
Hit up the Download link for a complete changelog and start downloading right away!

It's also worth mentioning this firmware is temprootable! Instructions can be found here!

UPDATE: A newer version (V2.0.3-9345) is now available, fixing a few issues of the previous release!

I think it depends on what you are upgrading from, I did not clear data, and only had to flash it once when coming from the last beta. I'd recommend it though if you're currently running anything older than say 6883.

Man, the UI is so silky smooth now that I'd be content using this without ICS.

ICS is the first Android version which isn't a piece of junk, so I still want it.

I might hold off that upgrade as Adobe have yet to release a Flash Player for 4.0 (not surprising as there is only one device currently running it). In fact their long term aim is to ditch Flash in favour of HTML5. I think though that the transition in the wider web will take some time.

This is probably why MZ have included their own player in the browser (not that I can make it work with BBC Iplayer - this is a possible conflict with the player from Adobe that I have installed, I haven't done a more detailed investigation).
