    M8 for M9 trade-in program starts May 10

Chinese owners of the Meizu M8 being desperate for an M9 but finding it a bit too expensive can now rejoice because Jack Wong announced a trade-in program. They can get 800 RMB (more than 30%) off from the original price of the M9 if they redeem it online or 700 RMB discount at any Meizu shops. M8RE however is excluded from this deal and unfortunately it's not available for owners outside of China.

Can the M8 be in any physical condition whatsoever?

But... it's a pity the MX is announced, now i'm not up for the trade...

I wonder why Meizu does that... while its good for us customers, they really won´t get much money out of that! And what happens to the M8s? I doubt much of the materials can be recycled, whatsoever...

I guess they are focusing on building their brand rather than making the maximum profit.

    That's a good news!

Shanghai XuJiahui shops said last week: "This should start in June". He was not that far :D

1700 RMB for a new mobile such as the M9! Well, just hope that the will really do what they say and it will be perfect.

Soon Apple and Samsung will sue Meizu (lol)

It's more and more looking like Meizu is building up a user friendly company and trying to earn not only trust, but also loyalty of its customers with actions like this one.

Probably through their website but JW didn't mention. Then you'd have to send them the M8.

    Question

Is there any information about "what" has to be traded?
I mean, do owners have to give just the phone (with or without the battery), or do they also need to provide the USB cable, power supply, the headphones, the box and the book?

I think that they will ask the mobile only because for the M8 owners I know, they don't have the hearphones or any other accessories anymore :/

No need to worry about this, I don't think that they care so much about the USB cable

So that is about 85 or 75 euro,
what means that a second hands on residential market is worth about 100-110 euros if I use some common sense?

    That's not too bad

not available for owners outside of China.
damn would have bought an m9 if it was the case..

Well, if they accepted M8s from us you would have to pay for postage both ways which is almost the price of your used M8... so the deal is not worth it.
