Meizu CEO Jack Wong keeps doing what he does best: that is keeping his fans interested by leaking product photos and information. This time, Jack has been talking up the upcoming Meizu M9II, the second edition Meizu M9 that will feature a larger 4-inch screen with either 1280x854 or 1200x800 resolution, 1 Gb of RAM/ROM, a dual-core A9 CPU and 16 Gb built-in storage. According to Jack, the Meizu M9II will cost around 3580 RMB (540 USD) and will be released in the second half of 2011.
Jack starting to talk about the M9II might point to the fact that he's got the Meizu M9 under control.

Meizu M9III will have a core i7 extreme edition, 12GB DDR3 RAM, 512GB SSD and Dual GeForce GTX 580 in SLI mode... Teasing, teasing.
I just don't get why other factories/companies can come up with thousands of phones in like no time but takes sooo long for Meizu to get network permissions...Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsSimply because other companies release several phones every years.
Even if they wait 2 month for the last phone they just released another one.
and no one pay to much attention for the delays.

That's not what I mean. Take the HiPhone as example: They always come up with a HiPhone version of the newest iPhone barely a month after the newest iPhone is announced.
Does that mean that others have some sort of in-advance licensing or one-license-fits-all kind of deal going on?Internet has an answer for every question out there, not likely to be always the answer you're looking for.

Thanked 19 Times in 13 PostsJW is doing one of the biggest mistakes in marketing.
Never market an upcoming product when you haven't released the first product. Especially when Meizu sees to be running on a low budget with the M8 barely made brake even.
If I were JW, I would focus on marketing the M9 and building up a hype for it. Their goal must be that everyone that has a M8 will buy a M9, but if half their target group decides to wait for the M9II that will result in smaller profits.
Who would uppgrade their iPhone 3gs to a iPhone 4 if Apple promised them an iPone 5 in less than a year?

Well, on the other hand, it might be nice that Jack isn't all about making the right marketing decisions, but instead really trying to share experiences with his fans?
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 173 Times in 72 PostsThe M9II seems nice, that could be my next smartphone, if, of course, this would all be true...
HTC or Samsung or maybe LG can make these things, but I really don't see Meizu making a phone like that, at least not releasing such a smartphone as soon as 2011.
It looks like some ultra-super-fast phone with a big, very big resolution. (Why so many pixels Jack, the human I can't even see the difference
)
The M9II is no tablet, is it?
Half 2011? Yeah right, think about the M8 firmware which isn't even finished by now?!?!
Still on 0.9.9.23...
How many updates will the M9 get? I don't think M9 would get android 2.3, right?
More like the end of the first half of 2012, if later we will all be dead, right?

But that may also lead into much expectations. Just think about reporting every new thing that MAY come for the new phone-release, what if it doesn't get incuded, doesn't the fans get a little disappointed? Expecting things to come may be good sometimes, but I would say it's no good in the long run so to say.
Something to remember: It's better to have a few VERY GOOD fans than many less good ones..., as the very good ones may spread it little by little and make a very solid and strong fanbase that consists of true facts other than false promises (a.k.a. fictions)
But don't get me wrong there! JW has my fully trust and I won't give up so easy on MEIZU, trust me^^My COWON S9 (32GB), paired up with my "Koss PortaPro" and BBE+ Sound Enhancement, Makes Out Perfect Sound!!~
