well, afaik the i4 screens are from LG, so it's not going to be the same then. and we can rule out SLCD, because it's Sony-Samsung coproduction. but Sharp is also known for great quality displays, so i'm not worried too much.

let's face the fact:
- pros -
1/ M9 looks awesome, global design, size, and OS with it's own look and feel
2/ comparing to M8, M9 is an improvement, and we all know about the quality already of M8
3/ eicodesign is famous, and their work result is always appreciated

- cons -
1/ Meizu is used to have irrelevant delays, too many announcements
2/ when M8 reached the market, it also took a looooooooooong time for Meizu to get the Network License
3/ there are still many questions regarding M9 features:
- languages (besides english and chinese) because with a "redesign" of the OS, we can expect changing some text might be uneasy...
- what about the future android updates? we already know firmware development is tough and timing is not good with Meizu (look at M8 firmware... never reached final version)
- what about the simple useful things still missing in M8, will they be in M9 (landscape mode for text message is far the best example for me, but there are more)

conclusion: M9 is coming soon, we will really enjoy this new product from Meizu, but we have to wait (at least the 2011 Chinese year, remember the case for M8)

I do not about you, but for me would be best "upgrade" alarm that ring´s when phone is off ! This would improve battery stand and for me I hate to sleep next to phone in stand by mode.

If that would be a true, so I Have a solution... I think the screen's is allready use in Sharp IS03 with ADV technology, It looks lika IPS but use advantage of a second always-on monochrome LCD strip.

Yes, hopefully that's the same screen, but no monochrome LCD for M9, that's only in that Sharp phone.

do not worry about the screen,J.W said it's better than Ip4.

- He sais, that the screen/image looks still very good when you open games/programs on the M9... because of the resolution.
- And you will be able to copy the "Backup" folder to the M9 and import the contacts from the M8!

that's not a big surprise i think. 960x480 is exactly four times that of the HVGA (480x320) resolution, so just have to double the pixels in both direction.

Looks a bit like using old iPhone programs on a iPhone 4. Not really bad at all. Only the graphics look a bit pixelated, but you won't really notice that too much when using the phone.

Look at the 2nd screenshot: the time has FINALLY changed, not 18:20 as usual screenshots... we have have maybe one "real" screenshot, not a photoshop-made screen...

errrrr no? take a good look, the timestamp is more white & crispy then the other items in the above bar. So I am pretty sure it is photoshop´d onto the image.

Nooooo, these are actual screenshots from JW's M9. He posted these when questioned about software compatibility because of the resolution. When he posted the other two images today he shared a link along with this comment: M9 only paused at the 30th reply on this forum when scrolled through (notice this site has about 100 high resolution photos) - so it's a powerful device

carefull, I did not mean it´s a faked image, it could been made with a testboard or other, but don´t you find it strange that the clock looks so different?

I really think they touched the images to give it some more buzzzzz effect, wouldn´t be the first time you know ;-)
