History has taught us that Jack Wong loves to talk....
His "media friendly" schedule NEVER EVER turns out to be even remotely correct.
I personally love the hardware and the useability of the M8, but software has always been a problem, and one that has never been fully solved.
The news that the M9 will use a "custom" version (which actually means proprietary, just sounds better...) of Android worries me, it just means that it will be buggier and less useable than it should be. This seems to be a continuing trend with Meizu. They refuse to even share control of the development of their products, and thats too bad, because it ultimately affects the users negatively.
That said, if it is available sooner rather than later, I will get one, and hopefully there will be someone who whips up a fresh homebrew Android platform that is free of the Meizu slaveshell software.

+1 for JW. There's no such thing as bad publicity. Despite being a perennial punching bag for the writers at Engadget, the comments reveal more of an understanding of reality than the actual article does.
Best (excerpted) comment: "...but I so wish they'd talk less and work more."

Do somebody know, if the Meizu M9 will have multilanguage? Or will it released again only with English and Chineese?

Thanked 200 Times in 145 Postsyes, but there will be customized android on the M9.
So i dare to suspect that it will be chinese/english only.
If it is so probably a normal 'applocale' will not cut it.Meizu M8 SE - FW 0.9.9.18 (dao89 n450) Dualboot LBE A11 Android 2.2

Thanked 14 Times in 10 Poststhe reason i think m9II will take so long is because of how different it actually is to the first (still unreleased) m9. its like a completely different phone, 4" screen, front camera. its too good to be true... i envisage an early summer 2011 for the m9II, and, god willing, a christmas release for the m9, but apples interference might stretch that.

Love the reply 2 down: "...will sell my blood to buy."
3580 RMB is pushing $550...don't think JW should be punching numbers -and announcing them- so far in advance.
If the M9 is discontinued and the M9II is the sole replacement, Meizu might be moving up the food chain a little too fast.

Thanked 19 Times in 13 PostsI think it's really dumb to start talking about M9II when they haven't launched M9 yet.
I mean, you don't see Steve Jobs talking about iPhone 5. You have to convince the customers that this is the one and only instead of giving them hope of getting something better in a year.
