Hi everyone,
Been away from the forums for a bit... Was wondering if anyone has any new info regarding the M9 + mx ICS update?? Maybe even a rough estimate of the expected release date?

Thanked 8 Times in 4 PostsMy gosh that title is misleading... thought the release date had been announced o_O
But still, hopefully it comes out soonish (around a month or so) before uni starts again

Yes, the title is like one of those teasing threads you get on the BBS (via machine translation). I hope they (MZ) stay true to their word and release a vanilla, copyright - free version of ICS. I also hope that they leave this version unlocked or unlockable so finally we can have no controversy about users taking full command of their phones, and all get along without treading on each other's toes

I take it that nobody has any inside Bbs info, then??
Oh, and sorry for the misleading title -wasn't intentional! But I think I might leave it as it is so that people will respond to the thread! ;-)

Nothing on the BBS as far as I can see, many people hoping for a release tonight, but only as it is the Chinese new year. I guess they figure that it would be the perfect new year's present

This is pure speculation, but I imagine they'll want to release the FlyMe version of ICS before the vanilla (on both devices), so even though we heard a while ago that the vanilla ROM was almost finished, we won't see it for a while yet. I'd love to be proven wrong though!
Edit: this post on the bbs summarises what has been revealed so far.Last edited by Straylight; 01-22-2012 at 12:38 PM.

Sorry for double posting, but it looks like 4.0 is still being worked on and still no ETA. Our next firmware update will probably be another 2.3

Thanked 46 Times in 41 PostsThey're taking their time... It shouldn't be that hard to release a stock ICS ROM.
