Customised UCWEB browser coming to Meizu M8

Two screenshots were posted today on UCWEB's forum showing the new customised version browser (v7.1) running on our beloved M8. It will have two different styles, one is the "classic" and the other one is the "night" theme. It's not confirmed whether english interface will be available too...
Click for the screenshots!

No idea when they are planning to release it...I think the testing is now in progress. Ucweb and Meizu have partnered up so this should be available for all future firmwares.

What happened to Opera???

Guys, This might not be really good for the Non-China users...
UCWeb is notoriously known for only producing software in Chinese language, add to that Meizu.... I am really Hoping that if this does come true, then the Browser also changes language when we turn the system language to English..

And if UCWeb is coming to the Meizu, what happened to the Opera guys????

Just wondering....

Opera will always stay in the firmwares because of their contract with Meizu.

Type in "opera:about" in the url field and you will see. Not possible to upgrade because it's a customised version for M8...

First beta released! Seems it's only chinese but it's really fast, much nicer, and smoother than before.

I don't think they are aware of the large number of english speaking owners so they probably think it's not necessary... I'll try to request an english version from them!

You can download english version for many mobile phones like htc phones and so one on the usweb website.

Maybe we can use the language files from other phones.
