Meizu starts selling refurbished M8

Meizu announced today that they were to start selling refurbished units of the M8, at 1699 RMB (approx. $250 USD) per 8 GB unit. All refurbs are to come with a brand new outer shell as well as accessories and packaging.

The packaging will be marked with RE, as will the inside of the phone (behind battery).

Nice, but they'd better first make firmware v.1.0...

Cheap(er), 175 euro, but not cheap enough for me to get it next to my iPhone. Export cost have to be added for the most of us.

Still good, but how did they manage to sell refurbs this quick?

I just hope we won't be seeing these on ebay as new units. You won't be able to tell if the shell is completely new...

The differences between M8 & M8 RE

THE LABEL ON THE OVERWRAP WILL SHOW YOU " RE 版" AND "RE(Refurbished)版包含有使用过的元件" WHICH MEANS THAT M8 RE CONTAINS USED CONPONENTS.

YOU CAN ALSO NOTICE THE "M8 RE 版" IN THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT.

If one in the US wants to get one from China by express delivery, he would have to pay 40$ more for the express fee. Gosh, that's too expensive.

hey meizu italy, i could say the same for italians but hey who am i to talk.

this is not really a topic on who is the best at ripping off people and please refrain from talking about a minority in that manner.

it wouldn't matter really where the phones came from, it could happen from anywhere.

Yesterday I received a Meizu M8 8GB black from China, which I ordered as a new one. When i claimed that this phone is a refurbished one and not a new one, they send me this mail:

"It is the research version from meizu company.
You can call chinese meizu agency to check that imei number.
It is new . we get from meizu agency."

I send a mail to Meizu but until now no answer.

^ Too bad that specific Chinese seller didn't know about Meizu Me. Now he's about to learn a lesson? Please make him do, I hate to see liars win.

Received a mail from Meizu today and of course it is a refurbished phone. I gave the informations to the seller and we will see what he will do (replacement or credit). I will tell you all and I mean also all other forums in the world the name of the company when I have cleared my problem.
By the way, I asked Meizu about their plans for an international version of the M8. That's the answer:

So far we have no plan to launch international version M8. Our next model will be 3G M8 to be released by about middle of next year.

OK, the company I bought the phone from is www.ciscam-china.com and they are not willing to give any credit or replacement. The only good thing is that I payed only 210,- € incl. all costs.
So be warned not to buy from them!

Most "companies" like this in China aren't actual companies but regular citizens posing as companies. It is impossible to take any form of legal action as they've most likely used fake information to register their website.
