The best software keyboard for WM devices has been successfully ported to our beloved Meizu M8. Features include: Up to 450 chars/min input speed, resizable keyboard, mistyping correction and prediction, word association and the best of all: support for more than 20 languages. However Touchpal's international version is not free only the chinese version, and it's uncertain at this point if we can install more languages by ourselves.
Internal testing should begin soon and if all goes well we can download it later.

This may not be used with opera mini again, I don't know which devices use opera mini as default web browser and which input method it use?

What is that - an unofficial release? AFAIK, Meizu and Touchpal are working on it together...
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsYes, forgot to post, a beta version has been released. However I think it only works in opera to input web addresses, and not when you want to input text on a website (login information for example).
If anyone experiencing problems about it covering the buttons at the bottom (like when you're sending an SMS), simply just tap on the title bar and it will disappear.
By the way, here are some language packages (with keyboard layout and input dictionary), I think they should work on M8 too:
http://www.cootek.com/download.aspx
And here's their Language SDK which should help you create your own keyboard layout, and dictionary:

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsYou can switch layouts by pressing this button:

German keyboard (installed from Cootek's website)
If you want to make it work first restart your phone, than go to Device\Program Files\Touchpal\Surfaces and delete folders named "wubi" and "bihua" (you won't be needing them I guess) - otherwise you can't choose the german layout!

There's also French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Czechish, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish!

More Skins
Install:
Unpack it to Device\Program Files\TouchPal\Resources, and choose "Overwrite All" (Cover All...)

Too bad it doesn't work in Opera.
Additional Characters like @,;.: are working though.

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsHere's a translated version, enjoy

Restart your phone and copy it to Device\Program Files\Touchpal and overwrite the original file!
By the way the cab install won't install Touchpal as the default keyboard so you have to change the input method in M8Sprite (or control.exe) every time you restart your phone.
Somebody please create a cab installer with this dll, and the skin I posted!

that's a bit steep, but great development none the less.
