Also you don't need too much to run Linux.
yea but i meant beryl, if ou never used beryl b4 u don't know how much graphics it takes up. so much graphics turns a desktop into almost playing a game. kinf od exagerating but my point is beryl definitly wont happen, linux could.

the minione has an impressive feature-list but
the point is: how well are all these features implemented?
the m6 is also a great piece of hardware but with sub-standard software
(when will there be a firmware-update that actually removes bugs
    and shortcomings)?

You don't own a Dell Axim, do you? Those are pretty nice as I owned one myself.

Internet can also be accessed with GPRS/UMTS/EDGE.

I hope that it will have WiFi tho, it's a very important thing.

With WWAN the obvious choice on a mobile device like this. If you want to use Wifi get a less mobile laptop. Wifi isn't really needed with todays wwan options any more, and with wimax around the corner it will most likely take over, just like mobilephones now sell a lot more than cordless phones.

So far, this thing looks amazing and i'm really looking forward to it. 3 things that i'm wondering about are:
    1. Internet explorer capabilities (java, flash, youtube, etc.)
    2. Is the screen multi-touch (2 fingers to zoom in like an iphone?)
    3. Wi-fi
Everything else sounds superior to the iphone. Keep it up!

Wow. I must say that this phone looks awesome, even though it probably won't make it here to the US. Oh well. Wish I could get one.

Also, how are the Meizu MP3 players? I could use a replacement to my current Creative Zen Micro.

    1. Most likely only m.youtube like all the other mobiles
    2. That's Apple patented.
    3. Why do you need it when you have wwan.

First of all we don't know much about the M8w(orld) model yet, and secondly you only need the base NA GSM frequency 1900Mhz for it to work in NA, most every GSM phone from the past few years include 1900Mhz!

You also need 850Mhz for some places like rural areas. I believe AT&T/Cingular own most of the 850Mhz services in the United States, but other GSM companies like T-Mobile have roaming agreements with AT&T/Cingular, so to get full coverage it'd also need the 850Mhz band

Yes 850 is a Cingular, now at&t network, and yes Tmobile roams on it. But you don't NEED it as such, but yes you are better off with it, depending upon where you're at of course. But again, time will show what (if there will be) the M8w(orld) model will be.
