If only J. Wong could release a full english firmware with wifi for people outside of china...... I, personally, hate chinese, i cant understand or translate their texts.

This must mean that sales are going pretty well. Let's hope for an international release.

Hey, just got my M8-16GB, and the price was right RMB2580.

For a start-ups. I would like to consider many different factors MEIZU is not released until the overseas edition of the m8.

Can anybody help me out?
Where is the cheapest place to buy the Meizu M8?
i prefer the white one, because i think it is the newest one.

i cant. I would get Banned (again). I posted where i got it from and Meizume doesnt approve of that. i dont know why. Over 80% of the people who come to this site want to know where to buy it. SparrowHawk why dont you make an account and then we can go from there.

When I talked to the Meizu representative, he said that they were changing some of the internal components. I know at the beginning, Meizu tried to incorporate the 'best' components in an effort to bring honor to the Chinese brand. Apparently now, they are doing well enough to start playing with different components in an effort to find the most cost effective parts that provide similar quality. I gonna stick with the older generation on this one.

Is there going to be another price drop anytime soon (or not so soon) ? because I still think that the current price of the phone is exaggerated...

Nonsense, i tried many phones / clones in China. Compared to them Meizu is steps ahead. Try finding a Chinese clone with English input for instance.
I can tell you the outcome: You are not going to find it.

Only if you are willing to accept unusable software, a quarter of the quality, no support at all and no guarantee it will still work after a week of usage those cheap phones sound like a good thing.

This thread is about a price drop, that sounds like a good thing to me. This even though I bought my Meizu for the former price a while ago.

Some major issue that should be solved as soon as possible to my point are:
- Battery life should be invest to last much longer than 1-1,5 days only (rarely use)
- Recently, sometime i cant receive mes from others (my GF included #_# terrible) and even bank account info messages #_# (i'm in Vietnam)
- Maybe GPS would be an excellent complement.
- Camera quality also should be concerned carefully by upgrade to CCD (pro as Japanese) instead of normal one together with speed of each shot >"< wew so slow.
Those all my hope which could happen to my M8 ^^

Another price drop... dont think so. Before i bought mine i checked many other phones in china, non is even a bit like the M8.

@jangwoohyuk73 you are right, there are some things to improve, so i also hope they do it for the next version. But i also have to say its not bad at all, sometimes im surprised by the good quality.

It's not an iphone, neither a cheap copy, its Meizu!

New prices are: 1880 RMB (8Gb) and 2380 RMB (16Gb) for M8SE, and 1480 RMB for M8RE as of 01-22-2010.

Obviously the price drop is for the upcoming Chinese New Year.
