such a shame....this definitely burries the m8 for me....2 years of waiting for nothing...I`m so disappointed right now.

What they mean is to do it yourself, you have to first buy an iPhone that already has a 2 year contract tied with it, which costs more.

Hi only new to the posts (offical first post) i have recently brought an 16GB M8 from hong kong. I bought it and in the description it stated that it had wifi and gps. Would i be incorrect in saying that it has neither?

wilson, welcome.
There are devices with wifi chip inside but you will need to crack the software before it can be used. have look in the download section.

Evow04, thanks. I actually recieved the Meizu this afternoon and have tested it with wifi, it works fine. It actually picked up the network by it self and i was instantly using the net. The only thing was that a lot of the websites were in Chinese which meant that i could not view them properly. Is there an application - firefox etc or an extension for Opera which i can download which will make it english? (I have checked the download section and as i am recently new to the Meizu still unsure of all its workings).

I really dont believe that future M8 wont have wifi, they where working on the browser and the touch features for ages to just throw it out later, let alone it is one of the most important features.

It is probably a trick to make you buy a M8 now

If there is a blue license sticker in the battery compartment there is no wifi inside.
Most shop have the wifi and non wifi device , so just ask the seller.
