Meizu M8 official release date

It's now official, the company's first mobile phone, Meizu M8 will be released 18th February (in China). It is uncertain whether these units will include the WiFi chip or not. Prices remain unchanged at 2380/2880 RMB (approx. $350/420 USD) for 8 Gb/16 Gb respectively.

Great news.

I gather tomorrow will be the official release of the new firmware too. It has been floating around the official bbs for the past few days that the 18th would be a day to look out for.

Damn, and I just bought a 8gb one ... should have waited a couple of more days. But still, good to hear that. Another step forward for the company.

Congratualtion to Meizu for finally releasing the M8 officially. Can't wait to see what is next :D

I have just been on with my sources and it has been said to me that there will still be 2 versions. One official and on unofficial. I have also been told that the 16gb version will not be available at launch tomorrow.

Take this info with a pinch of salt though as last time you guys went nuts. I am simply sharing what I have been told from meizu representatives.

They release it tomorrow. That must mean we get a very polished firmware update any time now...

But they release it with only chinese and englisch language, right?! more languages would be great.

this is great! hopefully a huge amount of sales will trigger plans for Meizu M8 version 2! Anyone who gets it, give us some details about whether there is wifi or not, okay?

congratz meizu now keep on working on software updates, then on the next version i wanna have it by the end of this year :P

early one have chip can be crack. but the retail one I don't know. I will ask him for confer. If have. I will ask my friend take one for me from china

People dont forget , even if you go out tomorrow and buy a meizu m8 you wont know its a so called "test" type oder the final retail machine.I cant imagine what should be different to the retail version .Nobody knows it even the provider who gave me wasnt shure the retail will be exactly the same or not .But one thing is for shure in case they ripped out the wifi module the "test" version will increase the value .
