Meizu M8 Goes 0.9 - One Step Closer to Gold

In time for the Chinese New Year, Meizu releases firmware version 0.9 for their M8 phone with a lot of new features and long awaited fixes.
Releasing 0.9.0.0 directly after 0.8.0.3, one can see that Meizu signals another milestone in the M8 development with this release.
Among the many changes we now have copy & paste, Outlook calendar sync and a full backup system. What remains to be seen is if they'll manage to release the M8 MSN client before their upcoming holiday.
Update: Version 0.9.0.1 is out, just several hours after 0.9.0.0.Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Just because he posted the latest firmware doesn't mean he has the M8.
When the firmware is getting upgraded, it's like an update of say, Windows. This time, it's more of a Service Pack, but the smaller updates are patches. The full upgrades are from the first digit changing. For example:
Windows 2000 - 5.0
Windows XP - 5.1
Windows Vista - 6.0
Windows 7 - 6.1
EDIT: Oops, read some other posts. Disregard the first comment.Last edited by JkPwNsTeR; 01-21-2009 at 08:19 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsGold means that a product is ready to be sold ... so every feature you planed before the developing process should be implemented. It's no longer a beta version.
For example: Windows 7. Now it's a beta, after that there will be a release candidat. When people think that everything will work they will produce the DVDs - that's the gold version.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFrequency Question
Ok Err0r, don't get mad if this is already posted...
I see there's a guy selling some test units on ebay; he reports that the M8 only works on the 900 and 1800 mHz frequencies... is this accurate? If it is, does Meizu have plans to open it up to 850 and 1900?
I really would like one, but if it's not going to work here in ATT land, then I'm going to be very put out.
Thanks in advance!

Thanked 1,024 Times in 375 PostsIt's quad-band as J Wong confirmed too. They just haven't applied for the rest of the frequencies.

For Meizu yes. For many other perfectionists, a gold version will not cut it, they will need a diamond version.
