M8 camera demoed, faced with more delays

This is a discussion on M8 camera demoed, faced with more delays within the Meizu M8 News forums, part of the Meizu M8 category; Let's see... the iPhone doesn't have a removable battery, is locked, doesn't support as many formats, doesn't have a 720x480 ...

Let's see... the iPhone doesn't have a removable battery, is locked, doesn't support as many formats, doesn't have a 720x480 LCD, doesn't have a 667MHZ (or will it be 800MHZ?) processor. iPhone has 128MB RAM, M8 256MB. Meizu M8 has a 3MP camera. I don't think they're reverse engineering it.

We could have a whole forum created called: Why the M8 owns the iPhone. (Bad).

    Cool Nana

Hey does anyone know how the battery life will be? I was thinking about buying a used iphone...but this seems a lot better.

    Cool Android beats M8

    Well everyone,

It looks like the Android made it out before the M8 and it has a pretty cool feature set. I think Meizu needs to speed things up on their end. Just my thought.

I think you're mistaking something.. Android is not a phone!

If what you mean is actually the G1 phone, then you should be a bit more precise, because considering raw CPU power, the M8 beats it hands down.

Anyway, Android is still a bit limited, and still has quite some catch up to do in terms of default apps, for example. While I believe it has the potential to become the mobile OS of the future, it's not there yet. Also, the possibility of installing Android on the M8 in the future is not entirely ruled out either. As JW said a while ago (I believe it was a few days after CeBIT) Meizu is aware of Android and of how pupular it is.

    Huh?

Hey, can anyone tell me where I can get this M8 phone? I went to your site and then started to look around the Internet and all I can find is information on a prototype of the M8. I can't find any information as to whether or not the M8 has been released and if so, where. Seems like a nice phone, but I can't wait indefinitely for something that's going to come out later, espcially if there is no clear indication as to where it will be released (China, US, EU...) and when. Any information would greatly be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Well, the M8 is not released yet, so it's normal if you can't find it. According to JW's posts on the Meizu BBS (Chinese), it should be released in China by the end of November at latest. Depending on it's success, an updated 3G version is supposed to come out later. That one should be more appropriate for the rest of the world, and will hopefully have the features that were recently canceled (TV-Out, USB-OTG).

Also, please note that MeizuMe is just a fan site, made by fans. We have no real relationship with Meizu.

PS: If you want to know more about the M8 (or other Meizu products), why don't you stick around and register, for example?
