Meizu M8 UI Changed, Again

A month ago, Meizu CEO Jack Wong announced that the user interface was to be redesigned by eico design, a well-known Chinese design firm that has worked with the likes of Lenovo, Google and Phillips.

Earlier today, Jack confidently released a few photos of the new, redesigned UI for his fans on the Meizu BBS.

I don't like the glare effect Looks like a cheap videogame

I like the incoming call screen though because it looks like you can use full screen pics as avatars
I wonder if that picture was taken with the M8's camera.

Hope video is coming soon too.

I really like the sprinkling effect, I think it will be animated.

I think the data port of the M8 is just below the Calls icon.

After a long drought period, finally, a news. But a good looking news.

Let us hope we will see the M8 until Christmas.

That's really slick. EICO did a decent job creating a distinct and consistent interface.

wow that looks crazy! I really like the sprinkling effect too. Tbh I have liked all the different incarnations of the M8 GUI. I would really like to the see the home icons screen, but this looks very smooth and most importnatly not like the iphone. This will help Meizu soo much to dispell the controversy about copying and shouts of 'iclone'. These changes alone could really help the M8's chances in Europe and the US 10 fold. The GUI actually looks well thought out and quite original IMO. Meizu are really stepping up their game, this makes me appreciate J.Wongs vision even more, I'm definitely holding out until the M8 drops.

That wall would look stupid with this sort of interface. Now both the wall and the theme are consistent.

Wow, this GUI looks awesome!

This makes the M8 look much more like a really original product... I'm curious about what crap engadget will say about it this time

I think this shows that handing over the UI to design professionals was the right thing to do! And the final result makes a great compensation for all the delays, IMO. But Meizu could have saved a lot of time and money if they had gone this way right from the start, instead of trying to do everything in-house...

It looks nice, but the most important thing is how well it works.

I like it, and i like the fact that it has a few details from M6.

Looks much more professional than the the former one.

Still the one thing thats bugging me is that it runs windows mobile. If it plays well with Linux, then i might buy it.
But lets see.
