Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI have no clue whether some one from this forum is watching this or not but 8gb 3G iPhone is going to cost $199 LMAO. I guess I'm sold. Now, Meizu is in real trouble...
BTW I know that the service providers will increase the price of the new iPhone from that $199 to $399 to rip people off... they always do that.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI am watching it ;-) No surprise spec-wise, this is what has percolated on the net since at least a month...No bad surprises thus on the hardware side, but no good ones either, seems that the proc, resolution, memory and camera remains the same...
2 other good surprises though: the battery life is quite good, and the price is very low...BUT I wait to know what kind of network contract you are forced to buy with it. And battery life under GPS mode...
Meizu m8 is not really more dead now than before the Apple keynote imho...but, as far as i am concerned, it was barely alive since the last comments by Wong anyway ;-)Last edited by gkai; 06-09-2008 at 08:46 PM.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI can imagine what Wong is going to come up with to somewhat decrease that hype around the iPhone and make people focused on the M8... What would that be?? A UI video scheduled for release in september, then saying that they will go right on to the 3g version without releasing the regular M8??

Unregistered; The difference between hogging 10MB or 60MB or RAM is pretty negligible these days
Would you rather have a program running at 10MB or 60MB? The 10MB program is actually superior. iTunes is one of the worst device managers.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI don't know where you're going to buy your iPhone or where you've seen the prices but in Holland it's much cheaper. 450 euro aka 700 dollar for the 8GB model (The 2G version). For the 16GB you've to pay 459 euro aka 852 dollar. The new version will be around 199 dollar.

New iPhone 3G... prices starting at US$ 199
In my far country, Chile, some local companies are announcing for July 11 the new iPhone 3G ("Twice Faster" "Half the Price") prices starting as $ 199.
Here you can see the advertisement of Apple.
My country is among those that will be in the circle of official users of this device... which denotes a very aggressive campaign by Apple.
How this sill affect Meizu M8... and my wished M7?Last edited by DaremoS; 06-10-2008 at 01:36 PM.

seems like Wong better step up his game since the iphone 3g is already out and prices start at $199 i wonder can the meizu beet that in price. also i wonder when this thing is actually going to come out if it is at all. wrong time to hault unless they want to sped more time putting in more updated parts, like a more flash memory, battery life, faster processor, etc.. i remember watch the demo of the meizu m8 on youtube and it seems the UI lags. i've been trying out an iphone and the only time an iphone laggs was when surfing the web with an edge connection, which is not not a big problem with 3g and all that.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsactualy i'm probably older than you and in my country contracts still suck ass, you have to pay almost the amount phone costs in the store to get a cheap contract and i have no need for expensive contract cause i mostly text and make short calls

Like I posted in the other thread...
You guys would want to start coming up with a better argument than the whole ' well the contract will cripple you ' thing as, as I have stated in Europe its mandatory (especially in France) that phones be available in bill, prepay(pay as you go) and sim free options. So depending on the sim free price, the M8 and the Iphone 3G could work out pretty much the same.
