Meizu M8 miniOne Really Not at CeBIT?

The Meizu M8 did not make it to CES, but was promised by Meizu CEO to show up at CeBIT. Yesterday, Engadget rushed to the Meizu CeBIT booth only to find the old plastic dummy of the M8 miniOne.

After seeing this, Chinese Meizu fans have created something of an uprising on Meizu's BBS forum. In response, Jack somewhat unwillingly admitted that a engineering prototype was indeed brought to CeBIT together with two development boards.

In other forum posts, Jack also mentioned that the Meizu M8 will have a multi-touch touchscreen utilizing better technology than the Apple iPhone and that he expects the 8GB Meizu M8 to cost 2380 CNY (approx. $340 USD).

It's always Wong saying that the m8 "will have [insert text]" and "expects it to [insert text]", making the m8 sound great but only in our minds.

Dunno if i'd want to wait another 6 months not knowing whether the m8 will be really out as Wong's "estemations" etc are just a litte off sometimes (like 12 months). I mean, when Meizu says "expect it in the next 6 months" it just means we'll possibly get an extra picture of render in 7.

Doesn't look bad, but the August date is indeed a little bit late, I'd guess it'll have many competitiors by then.

Till now, it has been just vaporware.

IMO, august will be too late and my guess is there will be much better andriod based products in the market by then (or just around by that time).

And I think meizu has been ignoring the products that made it famous. I would prefer to get better M6 or M3 rather than the iPhone clone in next few months or else I might go with Cowon.
