I think i'll probably just end up getting a 4gb iPhone when I get the money together and unlocking it for Tmobile... Tired of all these rumors, waiting, ups and downs.

I'm thinking the same, although I'll probably wait for iPhone 2. gen before buying it. Having to use iTunes is in itself such a tremendous pain that iPhone will have to get a lot better than what it is today before I buy one.
For me this is a race between the M8 and iPhone 2G as I'm most likely buying whichever comes first. (unless another company suddenly release something equalent)
EDIT: That being said, I will be extremely excited to see a working phone on CeBIT in March.

Let's hope there is some. They haven't really been extremely generous with giving useful information the past year. I'm not even sure that they'll give a release date, usually companies with only prototypes don't do that yet.

I have one particular concern though. Early build photos had some Windows signs on them so I assume the OS will be Windows based meaning a very bad choice. I don't get why can't they make it Linux based so it would be almost perfect?
To be honest I am looking for a phone like iPhone but better, though 99% of the other alternatives I know all use bloody Windows as OS or simply a inferior to iPhone's OS...so I am still waiting for a phone that will use linux or I will have to go with iPhone, no matter how worse it is in features wise.

How is it a bad choice? It will have Windows CE. It will have lots of third-party support.

Right now, Windows CE is the best operating system for pdas.
There are tons of programs you can use. I use pocket putty to manage my linux servers, and pocketvnc or terminal server client for my windows servers. There are vpn and voip programs. You can choose many gps navigation programs, there are many specific programs: medical, enginering, erp's etc. Windows Mobile has had a lot of years to improve.
I will love to see what happens with Android in a few years (I wish it was months, but I don't think so) but right now I'll chose Windows Mobile for my next phone/pda, though I prefer to use Linux in my desktops.
Simillary, maybe iPhone's operating system will be great too once polished in a few years, but now it is a very pretty crap. It has many problems, and you have to fight Apple and even lose your warranty to be able to use some functionalities. They have released 4 or 5 firmares in 6 months. Apple can go to hell, they won't take my money!

Okay i'm getting a bit confused here with all the different windows versions being thrown into argument.
WinCE is the core code on which Windows Mobile is based right? But because of that they're 2 completely seperate things and absolutly not to be compared. Now I want to know whether WinMobile programs would work on WinCE, because i'm reading completely different opinions to those questions. Also, depending on how much Meizu is customising WinCE any potential compatibility could also be affected.
Could somebody answer that?
